Very pretty! The lag when the camera is moving is pretty annoying though. A bit more realistic wind with small movements in the foliage would make it even better also.

As soon as DLSS is ready for UE 5.4 we will provide access to these projects. A bit buggy currently, but with GPU settings and DLSS, 5.4 can be accessed via lower spec PCs.

In the first demo lighting on water when viewed further away is wrong. In second and third demo light reflected from fire sources should flicker. But those are fixable things and games truly have come a long way.

Most of the scenes are too sharp and too sterile at the same time and while it looks good, it feels artificial, because the shadows/DOF feels off (has a slight egalized-HDR tone, which is terrible). Needs a hell of a lot of colourisation/contrast to make it believable.

Worse thing in the videos is the camera movement, at best it makes things look like models at worse it makes you feel sick - someone needs to fix in game camera's move more realistically. Oh and why to birds in video game engines move / animate so badly in flight - always breaks the emersion for me

What I want to know and im sure its not only me, but, if a demo can be made like this , why are games not using it. The detail and graphics in these demos of UE are amazing but the games these days I am finding to be poor and going backwards not forwards.

I think you forgot about the performance issue, the game cannot only focus on beauty, another important part is optimization. Such a huge amount of detail will make a game extremely difficult to optimize.Currently, the hardware barrier is always the thing that prevents the game from being as beautiful as in the trailers. Try making the game and you will understand it.

Aí tu compara com os lixos que estão sendo lançados usando a mesma engine unreal e tu vê a diferença abissal entre o que uma engine entrega para jogos e o que entrega para demos.

A engine é apenas uma ferramenta, o resultado final vai depender dos desenvolvedores, se não tiver bons artistas e programadores, podem ter a melhor engine do mundo, o resultado vai ser ruim. Além disso, grande parte dos jogos lançados são indies, de empresas muito pequenas, em muitos os 'desenvolvedores' mesmo fazem muito pouco pq quase todo o jogo é feito com itens da assets store, então não dá pra ter esses jogos como parâmetro. Apenas quando os jogos de grandes estudios começarem a serem lançados vai ser possível ver o real potencial da engine, talvez com Mass Effect 5, The Witcher 4, Hellblade 2, etc.
