I was making footprints for my snow shader. I wasn't quite happy with the results. But after making the material blend, it's really amazing now.

my cliffs are one side and do i add them to the landscape or virtual mesh?

I can't really find how to make particles recieve shadows, maybe someone knows? If you run the charachter it the shadow, you can see the particles are unlit, but... The material is lit, so I don't fully understand why is that.

This worked for me, until I closed and opened Unreal. Since than editing particle color in "Initialize particle > color " does not change the color for me. Particles are grey and blocky for some reason. Did anyone happen to have the same problem?

But how does it detect where the foot is?

It fires the particle effect when the foot touches the ground in the animation (therefore we know the foot is on the ground). The particle FX is attached to the foot socket, so it also spawns on the ground on the correct foot.
