Next improvement : water falling makes leaves moving on every hits !! ;D
@jesus26393 жыл бұрын
I can actually see that
@robinv14853 жыл бұрын
You can actually do that with niagara, but it's kinda expensive. I believe just doing an animation instead of simulating drops individually gives similar results, noone is looking at individual drops while playing.
@bluegizmo19833 жыл бұрын
That was to be my comment as well
@zachhoy3 жыл бұрын
@@bluegizmo1983 same - the foliage needs to react to the water drops, at least it can be faked, this was too rigid
@theguy2watch43 жыл бұрын
They need to make them move especially these days all this next gen consoles and pcs with new graphics cards I would be kinda let down as stuff looks realer you notice the stuff they could of made better

While it is extremely realistic something I missed was the plant bounce with the rain and wind. It is an excellent job, congratulations.
@minjung33503 жыл бұрын
That was the only thing that bothered me, with such a great jungle there has to be a realistic reaction of the plants to wind and big drops.
@ziquaftynny92853 жыл бұрын
I think the water on the camera lens effect was also unrealistic. That kind of heavy rain would cover the screen much more. Correct me if I'm wrong.
@mdoerkse3 жыл бұрын
I want to see some bubbles/foam trailing from rocks in the stream. The water on the lens is just unnecessary in my opinion. And it looks more like water on a window then on a lens. On a lens you would have more just spots of water. But yes, it is amazing in general and I haven't seen a rainy wet environment demo before, very cool.

Making the leaves and tree react to water droplets would make perfect rain.

I'm Imagining A First Person Shooter Jurrassic World Game With Extremely-Ultra Realistic Graphics With Ultra Packed Sound Effects With The Same Horror & Terror Element From Doom Eternal With Jumpscares That Would Even Put the likes Of Doom Eternal And Conjuring To Shame With The Same Survival Tension As Battlefield 4 And PUBG With The Dificulty RIVALLING Doom Eternals ULTRA-Nightmare Mode!! Edit: I Would Also Like Its Gore Element To Be Beyond Doom Eternal! Imagine Having The Jumpscare Element Be The Second Primary Element With Its Timing Top-Notch And Sound Effects with Bleeding Edge Accuracy Enough To Warrant A Mini-Heart Attack! Edit 2: I Also Want The Dead-End Conflicting Tensions, Paranoia, Dark Theme And Escape Routes Being Cut Whilst Actively Escaping Near Death Experiences From "Rise Of Nightmares" With Almost Never Ending Row Of Jumpscares And Boss Level Scenarios Coming One After The Other Requiring The Player To Maintain His Vigilance Every Minute Like John Wick 3.

@@RamonMonsanto I agree with him, you did such an amazing job! dorplets on the screen is feeling a little disturbing. it feels like I'm closed inside a glass box. which means your environment and rain has been so awesomely realistic. PLease upload one without the doplet effect.

imagine you are in the forest and it starts to thunder and rain. It is getting dark, the rain and the wind increase extremely, the branches of the trees dance back and forth, so that you have to concentrate extremely to recognize a zombie, because the rain that whips on the vegitation, you can hear the zobies no more and than if all that would not be enough, an oppressive sound still plays in the background. That's Days Gone

the waterdrops on-screen effect really kills the immersion for me, as if it tells you that you aren't there and you can't relate to it anymore rather I relate to videos about rainy places

Not a single drop of rain can be seen in that stream. We're still far away from life like graphics, maybe in 2030...
@neronah73493 жыл бұрын
But we are closer than we thought we would be. I didn't expect this level of realism until 2030...and what you are expecting, I first thought we wouldn't see until 2040ish, but I think 2030 is feasable now. Gonna be real crazy when quantum computers are normal in 30-50 years.

@McDaniel773 жыл бұрын
The leaves should move or react to the impact of the water droplets. So it's just a non physics visual effect. Maybe it can be cheated to get the leaves shaking due to the rain, but then the branches and everything must be a physical entity. Hmm? Any thoughts how to achieve real rain simulation?

In my experience of walking in the jungle, and under extreme rains ... I must say that it would look much more realistic, if the effect of the "hit" of rain on leaves and water (flexible surfaces) was applied, since it is notorious as the drops of water have no weight.
