You know, you can turn on snapping while creating blend spaces so you don't have to fiddle with the values manually. It's normally on by default but you must have turned it off. It's in the details panel.

HEY!! can you tell how did you get the velocity to be of character data type and that real data type at 5:42 . i am new to this stuff, sorry. i just cant find a caracter and real data type in ue5.

Turns out, the Real variable is now the Float variable.

Hey, nice video man. My character moves as my Character Blueprint establishes, got everything set-up with the BS too, but none of the states transition as I move around and jump. This is quite old but, would you know why this is?

Maybe this is an issue because of 5.1 but something weird is happening. When my character lands after jumping he shrinks for a split second and then returns to normal. Also, followed your crouch tutorial and all works except when he walks while crouch after he does the crouch walking animation once he doesn't cycle the animation and just freezes while moving. Any ideas what could cause these issues? I swear I rewatched both tutorials and everything is the same

My animations weren't calibrated correctly so i changed my jumping start and end animation now when my velocity is 0 i get stuck in jumping idle animation can someone help

FYI, you can enable Snap to Grid below the horizontal axis and vertical axis details so you don't need to manually set the values for each animation.

It would be a better tut if you explained why you're doing the things you are. Sure we can copy what you have and get the same results but without understanding why youve done it that way we may aswell just download the blueprint

What would I do if I wanted to have him run around regular then when I lock on to a target or just press the lock on button to look forward only and strafe. So basically how do I hold a button to enter strafing. Like Zelda does and have the same button lock on and strafe around enemies

Hello Nyr, maybe my question sounds silly, but I need to understand where "Movement States'' is in Blendspace. I'm trying to mix animation, but only one value works.

I'm not sure 100% of what you're referring to, but if you're looking for the states within the Anim Blueprint, you just have to right click and it should have an option for "Add new state" and then you can rename it to whichever movement state you want. I hope this was helpful!

I realize it's a bit late, but is there a reason you reused so many "character > character movement" components instead of drawing from the same one?

You could do it that way, I think I was just doing it for aesthetics? To make things look tidy instead of using reroute nodes lol. I'm still fairly new to game dev, so it's highly possible that there are more optimized ways of doing it. Thank you for your feedback
