Unreal Engine 5 X AI Audio Tools - Design And Implement AI Audio Birds (Technical Sound Design Reel)

Hello everyone, here is a little video showing how to make an Audio Bird Tool using AI Controller Class in Unreal Engine 5.
I made this video pretty short to show the overall system but you have to optimise it a bit whenever you are using more than one or two AudioBirds, to save some GPU and CPU ressources.
First thing you can do is, since I am not using the tick event, on the details of each class, CharacterClass and the AI Controller Class, you can uncheck the “Start with tick Enabled” to save some CPU. Then, when character is not in area (in character blueprint) you can add a delay after the “false” of like 2/3 sec, that would also help.
Last thing would be to tell the AI Controller Class to not move at all when Player is not in his Area of action. Depending on your GPU system.
Using a BPI could work (blueprint interface) to send a message to the AI controller class for the character to start its endless search to move to location inside the radius whenever the player gets inside its area (on component begin overlap AreaSphere). This would help prevent the Bird from moving all the time. I hope it can help you optimize the Tool to be able to use it as much as you want !
