Hi great videos, thank you very much for sharing, I’m consider setting up the camera tracker for virtual production with unreal. Would be nice of you if your next video would show an overview of the whole system and setup. Thank you again. Please keep up the good work. I have subbed, for your next video 🙂

Hi. Thanks for sharing the video clip. How many base stations are required for the setup?
@II-er7gj3 жыл бұрын
Very nice so far! But can you improve something like smooth camera or enable camera lag for smooth move-around of the character and enable virtual camera stabilizer with UE blueprints? - because currently when you move around the movement are so jittery and not so nice.
@JakeGWater3 жыл бұрын
I have gotten rid of the jitter. I'll try to share a video about it when I can. Things have gotten a little busy lately, so no promises on when yet.

@@JakeGWater Im currently reading on the vive trackers.Could you please help me understand, if I have 13 trackers, how do you connect those to one pc in order for them to work simultaneously? I dont have so many usb ports and im not sure if a big usb hub can give enough power to so many dongles/trackers?

Hi, it is very interesting channel! I start right now with the first steps on VP. So I have some questions about the workflow. 1. there are also decklink with 4 HDMI ports, is it not suitable for the workflow? 2. I saw there is also a possibility to use iPhone as virtualcamera, is this not a "better" solution? 3. how to contribute? Thank you for the tutorials you made!
@3Dgiants2 жыл бұрын
Hello. Nice tutorial. Does that mean you don't necessarily need the Base to control the virtual camera in unreal. The controller can work alone?

Hi Jake, have you ever got the controller working without the headset?

can we use this technique to take green screen composure in real time?? can you explain how to do dslr camera as real time capture

Yes, it's all realtime. Check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYHXZnibityqjsU and kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5DLqYOHn56sn8k

Sorry Jake if I keep asking you questions :-) But how can I raise the shooting height of the traced camera. I always have the shot at the height of the cap and not of the face. To frame the face I have to tilt the tracker upwards. Thanks, Alberto
@JakeGWater3 жыл бұрын
Parent the camera to an empty actor in the scene which you can move freely. Ensure any "global movement" buttons are unchecked so the camera moves relative to its parent actor.

Hi. I like that you have not stopped recording and kept your 'figuring out' too. I noticed your controllers are black, though. Which version of the Vive are you using? I thought only the Vive Pro worked with UE4... and those controllers are blue? Thanks.
@JakeGWater3 жыл бұрын
I'm using the Cosmos Elite. The headset is compatible with 2.0 but the controllers are 1.0. It's stupid, but it works. My base stations are 1.0 but if I upgrade my controller stop working.
@dilithium723 жыл бұрын
@@JakeGWater thanks. The Cosmos Elite is only £200 cheaper than the Pro and the Pro gets the newer v2 base-stations; so probably not worth it for the price difference. At least I know the Pro isn't the only option, now, even though most videos seem to have people mentioning the Pro. I hate making expensive decisions. LOL! Thanks again.
@JakeGWater3 жыл бұрын
@@dilithium72 Yup, get the pro. Vive's site made me think the Pro was not available. The Elite comes with 1.0 controllers and base stations, and the headset is mediocre.

Hi, congratulations on the video. I have a question about a node that looks different to me. My Get Relative Transform node only has an orange Return Value output while yours has Return Value Location, Return Value Rotation and Return Value Scale. How can I get the same node? Thanks, Alberto
@top.proservice3 жыл бұрын
I have solved :D Split out !
@JakeGWater3 жыл бұрын
Right-click the node, and choose to split it. It should become three new nodes, rotation, location , and scale.

hi, i need that tracker or the whole vive tracker system?

I think the headset is normally required to setup SteamVR. There may be a way to do it without, but I don't know how.

Hi Jake, I'm still here. I can't figure out if I'm missing something on how to capture tracker movements. I have another project and I can use the tracker. That project sets the tracker id in the Get Tracked Device Position and Orientation node. In your blueprint you set the id in the MotionController property but I have tried everything but I can't get it to go. Is there any code missing from the video? Thank you
