The thing about the tech trees is I don't like the dishonesty from them. They claimed the change was made to sets because the tech trees were confusing. The tech trees have always been one of simplest, if not the simplest, things in the game. I'd have less issue with the change to sets if they had just said, we changed it because we wanted to change it. That would be and is the HONEST answer. They changed it because they WANTED to and because they wanted to MONETIZE it, that is the TRUTH of why they were changed. At this point we all know this is a greedy company, they have almost as many styles of loot boxes as they have Japanese tanks in the game, so we don't expect that much from them. Which again makes it worse when they LIE about something to try to make themselves look better. NOBODY asked for reworked tech trees, nobody with an IQ has ever been confused by them.

@@ahklys1321Even I am a newbies back before 5.5 happens. I have no much of an issue to Navigate the Tech Tree. I just look at the lines and see what goes next. IDK, maybe people are stupider than the 15 years old me now a days. I mean Skill Trees exists in Video Games for years, Diavolo and POE does have this skill trees which are even more complicated than what WOT Tech Tree does. It is straight forward if you actually use commonsense to see the lines connect to the next tanks. Heck, you can see the upcoming tanks before hand during upgrades. How is this even confusing? Don’t tell me kids these days can’t read images. Might as well be blind hence they are too stupid to look at images.

Most of this video is Meadsy compromising, saying pinch of salt, I don’t mind this, they better not do this or that…..bottom line is WG are taking a huge gamble by changing Blitz totally from what it currently is. By the way; you mentioned spare parts and we got them to change it, guess what, ‘steel’ is spare parts version 2. So they’re flipping us off with steel. My personal feeling is this is gonna be a massive failure. There’s so much bad feeling towards this ‘update’ that I can’t see the community accepting it.

WG (like any business) seeks to grow and increase revenue/profit per user. The new player fallout, the learning curve, the toxicity all need to be adressed. Successful business (just like tanks and ecosystems) requires healthy balance. WG must balance it paywall approaches and greed against the player experience. WG must balance the interests of the veteran's game investment against new player learning curves. Finally, WG must balance the amount of change the loyal base will accept at any given time. Hopefully, the Ultratests will help them to do this correctly. IMHO they are taking big risks that they will get a new customer base and not lose their core base when they make these dramatic changes. The average player is a younger male (I am retired).. Many players likes a degree of historical authenticity and quality aesthetics. I personally do not like the cartoonish look of Reforge and the political statements that the Commander's make. I have also long thought MM needs SBMM. The seal clubbing and toxicity especially around WR is excessive. The gaps between new players and vets in terms of crew skills, tank capabilities and personal skill are immense. I know WG hopes Reforge will attract a larger paying audience but politics should be minimized (but not ignored) in a game and you can make too many changes too fast.

This update worries me for a few things. 1. What happens to my hundreds of premium and collector tanks? Are they going to be taken from me after i spent money on them? 2. How is my peogress being transferred over? I have just ahout every single tech tree unlocked and now theyre changing it to sets and i need keys to unlock tanks? 3. Commanders. I have to unlock commanders to be "meta" in a game that really never had a true meta. 4. Special abilities. This game is fine without special abilities in the regular game mode. If they wanted to release a game like this they shouldve announced a Project CW Blitz versuon. Not redoing a game that has a massive game base already

Regarding sets, on the n9o video, which is 5 hrs long btw, it shows the game pass, paid and free, which clearly show keys being available. Also, in the video they stated that this is the first test of many and that the release date is months away, that they have no set release date. We can all jump to conclusions however, why not play it and give honest and constructive criticism. For example, I don’t like the infinite ammo implementation. I understand it makes it easier for new players, that’s fine. Why dumb it down for everybody else? Make new players learn and grow. Have infinite ammo for low level players then implement it as they progress.

I don't think moe will come because it's a skill based rank. Since this will no longer be a skill based game and we will no longer get achievements or medals then it wouldn't make sense to have them. I use training rooms to test my connection before playing. It's high ping and packet loss; I won't play. So now, I guess, ill be forced to play without knowing and potentially giving my team one less tank.

I feel like the tanks lose a lot of their identity with this new set system, you no longer focus on them by their nationality, instead of what they are advertised as. The nationality becomes a secondary focus indicated only by a small square with a flag in the garage, and I feel like this will become a major problem since many new and why not older players play the tanks because of what nationality they are. No longer will there be such a urge and motivation for people to grind a line when there is much less room to connect with the vehicles nationality. For example, if you're american, you propably prioritize grinding the american tree first, and put many hours into the game. With this new system you're supposed to connect with the piercing pikes, or the blades of prosperity :p

This is another dumb idea. If I got a "set" of say, three tanks, I would want a light, medium and heavy so that I could experience a range of different game styles. It would get a bit boring playing the same style of battle every time.

All the garage slots… all that crew xp grinding time… and for many alot of tanks in the VRT system if they want them back someday if wg changes them.. all wasted otherwise. They failed this update concept and it may cost them their jobs and what was a better game than the competitions versions. Now the competitions going to get a playerbase boost so they (wg) need to act quickly, reversing the updates changes and get it out even faster than they thought. Players unlikely to come back if they start the others. This is a new game that would not have attracted the players from original wotb, its not looking better or anything more than a bad copy.

Meadsy, in the settings the new default setting for armor is all penetrable armor is red and non penetrable armor is gray. WG thinks this is more intuitive for the new players. You can set it for the classic way which is the way we are all use to: red being non penetrable and gray is penetrable. Ram

This change with commanders and sets to replace tech tree tanks SUCKS! If WOT Blitz needs to gain market share in the game industry then they can count me out. As a 10 years players seeing how WOTBlitz evolves to become what it is today. Happy to experience the old days battle with and without pay to win tanks. I rather pay and like to see more good maps and better mechanism inspired new tanks for all,players to enjoy. If I don’t see this in the future then I am out.

the tech tree being confusing was their reason for 5.5 with the collector tanks. but honestly, it’s literally got arrows pointing to each tank. as you said it’s literally the simplest thing in the game. i’d argue they complicated it with the tank ranks nobody wanted, but that’s me. +Not even the mobile Armored Warfare had keys and sets like this when it was around. I don’t know why they thought this was a good idea. And the training rooms thing, probably takes off the wot pc excuse of training rooms taking up the same amount of resources a as regular battle and thus you cannot start one in your own. I moved over to WoT PC around mid last year on my abandoned account, been enjoying my time over there. I always loved blitz but this just doesn’t feel like it.

Little things like the tanks being red in this version are 100% fair to point out, hopefully that goes away. I do not like the sets and the tanks being behind paywalls. There is nothing wrong with tech tree, it's so much easier. I and many others learned about them. What's missing to educate new players is what we've asked for for a very long time. GOOD tutorials. The Commanders are MEH. I don't like them, prefer the crew, but would be OK with Commanders IF they equate current progress in the crew skills to commanders. I don't see that happening though.

I managed to get 1 game before it disconnected me. My potato laptop I play blitz on (easily) managed 10fps ! The UI is a disaster and WG tried to sell stuff for a mission on a test server! I truly can't see this working. It's just a game, I'm off to play something else..
