Dude that's awesome, the consistent rocking to open up the push is what I needed. The two straights make much more sense, I was trying to pull then cut it back, but the hop-step fake is great (I used it with my snake sometimes) and the simple flip straight... I should've known. Thanks again buddy!

The big thing that helped me with the push side is to toss the ball so that it moves back slightly toward the rod as it moves toward the push side just before I strike it.

*What's the diff between this and the snakeshot in terms of effectiveness? It's pretty much the same principle. Front pin and toss. Would this shot be quicker to release since you're not spinning the rod full circle?*

Hey Zeke, thanks for the videos! Just wanted to send in a quick request -- I'm having trouble with the open handed grip for this shot. Controlling the ball is fine, but I'm having trouble generating consistent spin and power when rolling it on my palm. I don't have a table at home, so I play on my company table, which isn't taped for extra friction. For now, I'm shooting the shot close-handed but would like to advance to open handed at some point. Hopefully this comment catches your attention somehow. Cheers!

have you noticed that tornado tables are getting cheaper in quality? Reason I ask is I used to rent a very nice coin operated tornado table in the early to mid 2000's for my personal use. Been away from competing for a while. Anyway, looked at a local bar table and I noticed there was about 8 men broken. Seeing the middle 3 bar man with ankles cracked or broken was no big shock but many others including multiple 5 bar guys with body pin cracks. The table grips were plastic instead of wood. The rods themselves felt thinner/easier to bend. The table was clearly hardly used. No mars on the table.

+DFOOSKING The quality has definitely suffered over the past 5 years. Not necessarily the men though, but more with manufacturing inconsistencies. I've been to tournaments over the past few years, and the play from table to table feels different. Some tables have dead walls, loose pin holes, etc.

+Unreal Foos Not sure how old this table was.....had silver colored side panels and a table light built in. The plastic grips really stood out. And of course it had a coin-op. Sad thing is the bar is owned by a old VIFA Master Pro level player. My little town of 12,000 people in bumfuck nowhere had 3 or 4 Master Pro's and a Hall of Famer. Foosball was real big here for about a decade in the late 90's to mid 2000's. Watching your vids brings back alot of good memories.
