Unreal has been around since 1997 I think. I started out with Unreal Tournament 2003 tho, but there were earlier versions.

@@autistichades5552 there was a long running series called unreal tournament, it was basically like THE game that was made by THIS engine. and it reached out to other names too, like unreal, unreal champions ( i think) and three and a half unreal tournament games. two and three were fun as hell, and i would try my luck with four if i had a better ass computer.

@@JayJohnson26 the only kid here is you.We both remember ut99 and its graphic.Interesting why everyone likes ut99 for its graphic quality?The truth is NO STUPID DIRTY FILTER.It doesn't matter how weapon looks like if the entire game looks like dirty toilet in desert.Many people would prefer endure "toys" than killing their own eyes playing with "weapons".And UT more than just killing.It MUST have nice views of almost everything because this game is mainly about gameplay with fascinating surroundings like in ut99 and ut4, than just killing guys like beloved dirty Quake 3

That's because game is abandoned. So textures are unpolished (looking too sterile and "plastic"). Almost all animations are perfect.
