Also fun fact the PlayStation version of clayfighter 3 was actually leaked recently. It's called the clay fighter extreme.

Nice video, thank you! I didn't hear you mention it, but there were a couple of arcade games released on m2 hardware, so there are playable games out there. To be perfectly honest, I found the graphics quality of the existing games a bit underwhelming, comparable to or maybe a tiny bit above n64 quality. I don't think it would've stood much of a chance in the consumer market...

Agreed! Looking at the games, they didn’t seem all that much better than we got with the N64. As a kid I looked at the specs & thought the M2 would be at the level of SEGA’s Model 3. But that isn’t the case in practice unfortunately.

I asked ChatGPT about this, and it had a slight edge on N64 in terms of power and performance. I'm sure it would have still been very expensive and had limited 3rd party support if it went to production. It never would've made it, I think.

Also, it was the opposite (it was known in US for a lot of 3rd party support, but in Japan, it known but a few units was sold in Japan)

I would love for them to get it to boot. Someone can create some homebrew ROMs utilizing it's potential and we can emulate it. May be a while though. If ever.
