UNRELEASED Pancham-Lata Song

Another special new year gift from #Pancham da's childhood friend #Badal #Bhattacharya ji's family and #Panchammagic, Pune.
Panchammagic was blessed to interact with #Mili Badal Bhattacharya ji and her daughter #Doel ji in their last visit to Pune in January 2020.
Pancham da had a special bond with the entire Bhattacharya family as Badal da was his childhood friend. Pancham da used to send his compositions, songs to Badal da and Mili di regularly. Panchammagic was fortunate to have access to some of the spools which Mili di preserved very carefully.
Today, on Pancham da's 29th death anniversary, Panchammagic is releasing yet another unreleased gem of #RahulDevburman. The song may have been recorded in 1968-69 in the voice of Bharat Ratna #Lata #Mangeshkar ji. The placement of the song on the spool is between Movie #Talash songs, so it is possible that this song may have been recorded during that time.
There is no reference of the movie for which this song may have been recorded. The Lyricist of this song is also not known. The same 'dhun' was again used by Pancham da for 'Jeene ka din, Mar Jaane ka Mausam hai' - Gomti Ke Kinare (1972).
Listen and enjoy this sweet song recorded in #LataMangeshkar ji's velvety voice. She sang it very softly and the arrangement is so simple and melodious.

This song was composed by Panchamda in 1968/69 , but see the freshness, the melody, the musical arrangement just touches our hearts .Though it’s on the same tune of “jeene ke din marne ka .......”, but still it indulging & very beautifully sung by LataDidi 👌. Exactly same tune, but Gomti ke kinare was a duet with kishore da, perhaps this was recorded earlier and since the song was not included in the said film it was adapted for Gomti ke Kinare

What a priceless gem! In "Jeene ka din ...", Panchamda had used Saxophone, Accordion and Electric Guitar in their purest forms. Here he has utilized a Trumpet and an Acoustic Guitar quite magnificently ( except before the third stanza, where a sax has been used.) Forever grateful to you for this, Team Panchammagic!

This song had to some extent resemblance with the song 'jeenewali jhoomke' of film 'Vasna', music by Chitraguptji released in 1968. RDB perhaps created his tune in 1967 & reincarnated in 'Gomti ki Kinare' 1972.
