Honestly this AU would worked in the film. As John Dory always telling and yelling his brothers that they had to be perfect, and all they do is agrue and argue. And for that they left separated in this household. As when John Dory has been captured by Velvet and Veneer, he was hoping that his brothers would rescue him, but when the time passed by. He was merely thinking that he gave up hoping that his brothers would rescue him, thinking that his brothers still hates him. And plus he was the reason why they broken apart the Brozone. And of his time he kept remembering his brothers, he feels guilty and ashamed.

There's something really sad that out of all his brothers he's thinking of, the one JD thought of the most is Branch. It makes sense when you think about it; he was probably the only one that didn't argue with John, didn't seem to be mad with him, seemed to be the most excited to perform in the band, and possibly more that we didn't see before the band, and the family, split up. It's no wonder JD seemed to be at his happiest when he met Branch again, believing that he'll be the only one glad to see his big brother after so long; if I am remembering correctly, JD didn't appear hurt by Branch's rejection, unlike Bruce's and Clay's. This is really sad to watch, and it's done beautifully by everyone involved; I will have to check out all these channels. 😢
