It's crazy how many Human Colonies were glassed or attacked throughout the entirety of the Human/Covenant War by the hands of the three Prophets and even Jul 'Mdama. I still can't believe after playing the campaign of *Halo: Infinite,* Doisac which was the home world of the Brutes was decimated and destroyed instantly by Cortana and her faction known as The Created using a few amount of Guardians. She even destroyed a Space Station that had 76 Spartan IVs onboard the platform. Imagine how scared all the untouched worlds are feeling right now after all that has happened within the entire galaxy. How near all of the 800 Human Colonies being glassed or attacked is mind boggling. It really shows how powerful the enemy factions are in their own specific ways. The Endless are another great threat to Humanity, but there is still hope. There is still... the Master Chief.

Originally, I thought this was going to be a video on the history, status and future of UNSC colonies. Instead, it was somewhat that but also hearing the conversation list how so many Human worlds have suffered puts a harrowing emphasis on how much the UNSC/Humanity has struggled during this time period, yet at the same time the hope that Humanity can continue to endure. Quite fascinating. Also, I think the AI ("Petrus" I think was the name said in the video) forgot about Mars. Still the list was quite detailed.

Mars was in the line, but held no strategic value. Could of hold humans and wasn’t hit hard like earth. The guardian emp knocked its system offline but relying on local plants for life support.

@@debbiebernhardt5406 ; "no strategic value"? Mars in Halo is literally the Earth's oldest extra-terrestrial colony. By the time of the games, Mars is fully terraformed with an Earth-like climate. It was also on par if not surpassing Reach (pre & post 2552) both in terms of population and military-industrial manufacturing. Mars is the HQ for Misriah Armory, the largest military weapons & equipment manufacturer in the UNSC. As well as after the fall of Reach, Mars was the UNSC's primary shipbuilding facility. So, Mars absolutely held critical strategic value.

When these planets where read. The heaviness of this takes very full effect to where even game and book of these planets and places I had to give my gestures of respect and rememerence. This was well done and has the effects of knowing what happened to at least some of these planets. Reach hits home as it should for us Halo fans all. Now the banished and the endless are out there. The Halo infinite games problems not withstanding. The storyline is here. Let's get it done spartan. Thanks installation 00. Truly well done.

Imagine being a sapient AI, who expresses optimisim even in Humanities current bleakest, darkest hour. Get's told by its human handler, essentially, "Give me a list of our colonies past and present, list off their current status for me so that you can demonstrate just how fucked we are. And then tell me again how we can survive this." And then doing so, and STILL holding onto that hope in spite of the grimmest evidence in front of you. I salute you, AI. You're stronger willed than most humans are.

Installation00 is Dr Halseys ancestor and she sent her journal through a time rift back to him.....it's how he's been able to reconstruct Mjolnir 500 years before it is even used for the first time in battle. I can't wait to see it when he completes it. Degrees in engineering and biochemistry......you are a true legend Installation00.

Well. Apparently up to the year (I might be wrong on things below I didn’t look look up to verify before posting this🙃😅) 2100, Our history is Halo lore. So WW1-2 Cold War happened as did to us. So did movies I assume… So I suppose we could say that they saw terminator/skynet- Joke aside😅. I’m unsure, but Human ship’s point defenses were automated. I don’t remember if Smart AI were needed and or helped make them be more effective. I know the Covenant didn’t trust AI like Humans did. I believe they read something about the forerunners being betrayed(likely Mendicant Bias turning on its creators) history repeating?…

Well... ONI and the UNSC at large are extremely paranoid about security. Probably thats why they didnt invest in wardroids and fully automated ships. The fear of an A.I rebellion. A fear proven correct.

So in the end of Halo 5, we see a Hologram showing Created attacks across the entire galaxy. (Red dots appeared across the entire galaxy) with things being shut down "here all the way to the outer colonies" 1 year later: -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched -Untouched Created are lazy for immortal Smart AI's.

I love the work put into this, although I feel like it would work better with a visual aid like a terminal. In fact, I'd love to see you tackle a Halo timeline from the perspective of ONI in this style with visual terminals like the original Halo 2 trailer had.

Definitely not what I was expecting but it really puts you in universe. It makes you feel like your listening to real casualty readouts and gives this weird sense of sorrow almost like survivors guilt.

I like the pause as the narrator describes Reach. Earth may be Humanity's home...but the loss of Reach was it's biggest scar. That momentary hesittion shows that the centre of Humanity's military power, the home of the Spartans, is still a deep gash in the UNSC's psyche. That and the background noise of repeated drinks being poured by the good admiral...and threat after threat rearing its head, it is understandable how the Admiral could be out of hope, but still, there is that spark of hope at theend. And I love including Escharum's speech at the end-who knows how long that message travelled before it was intercepted...but hope remains. Hope MUST remain. This is a great piece of lore, and as far as I am concerned, it is official lore. It's a great story, a great little summation of how the galaxy stands today...

The Monitor's discovery as well as other late-stage Forerunner technologies likely paved the way to mapping out where Forerunner relics were left, often specifically where Humanity was designed to settle, such as Reach. It's no coincidence that our "Second home", the strongest military presence, Reach, just so happened to be home to the second Portal to the Ark.

I Needed This! Also, it's great to get the sense of dread from the cold reality that humanity, after being harassed, consumed, and decimated in many theaters of war, are still alive and pushing to continue surviving. While the problem is still lies largely in the writing aspect of the Halo lore, ideologies and drives of the characters therein are One of the most impressive things about it. That being said, there's still a lot of work to be done. And 343 Industries should be looking closer to the fans for inspiration. There's literally fanfiction pretty much like this that's better than a lot of the stuff that they've written or placed into the most recent games like Spartan Assault and Halos 4 & 5. Content that fits into the category that humanity is up a creek without a paddle but not without elements like hope, luck, determination and our own shallow but present instincts for survival. And while I'm enjoying this, I'm also still waiting on updates for the team of genetically and cybornetically enhanced ODSTs. That was Engaging as hell. Also there are still unfortunate pockets of the Flood surviving on distant worlds and Forerunner structures like the Halo Rings. But now this vague 11th hour new enemy and a younger Cortana clone and the Banished somehow being a massively bigger galactic power despite the Spirit of Fire crew kicking their collective A**es with much more limited resources yet having enough ships and tactical capabilities to track the UNSC Infinity and either cripple it or destroy it and leave everyone thinking the Master Chief and both Blue Teams and Fire-team Phoenix along with like 20 other Spartan IV teams were all killed off. I understand that Escharum and Atriox were running tests to combat Spartans but that took kinda seemed out of character for Brutes, even for fairly clever ones like them. And listening to this lamenting Admiral listening to her still loyal A.I. cover their losses but also get a bit rekindled with hope, it does my heart good.

No, attacked means it was lost but not fully glassed. Glassing is when a planets had massive strategic or religious importance . The planet as a whole was glassed, but attacked planets only had its major population centers destroyed but the planet was relatively intacted.

@josecano326 yes many "attacked" planets were still salvage through unsc terraforming which only took a few years for recoloinzation unlike the full glass balls that took decades just to even step foot on one.

That was a temendous work, a brilliant voice performing, and a lovingly lore imbed video. I suggest though, that you make an alternate version of this video into a shorter format. One that could make the prologue of a new Halo game. Let the IA begin its inventory of the status of the unsc worlds for about 5-10 systems, that tell the general shape of the universe, then make an ellipse that makes us understand that time has passed, and that the list was too long to tell. Meaning so much planets were glassed. Keep the begining, the end, shorten the middle. (From a french fan). Much love.
