i love this Halo battles, you could create a bit of background lore, like a Convenant fleet is advansing towards a colony and we are seeing the desperate attempts of the UNSC to stop it.

there were both pulse lasers for anti missile defense and plasma cannons as main weapons as they were very slow firing. and thank you so much to captain jack for responding to my comment about shields in this video, and also for liking my suggestion about doing a rebuild of the pillar of autumn like he did the big sg1 ship. I know I sound foolish, but it means a lot to me to get noticed out of the many, many comments each of his videos get, and that he liked one of my ideas means even more, so I hope he reads this and knows he has a big fan

They're the opposite actually. They had an absurdly reinforced superstructure that made them hard as nails, but also incredibly heavy and thus slow. Also made them very expensive to produce.

Space Engineers has _really_ come a long way. Back in "ye olden times" a single ship the size of that covenant super cruiser would have broken the game, and having any more than four players would be impossible, but now you can have whole fleet battles. Really amazing.

Covenant had superior ships in halo.. All battles with the covenant should be expected to have very high casuality rates fighting the covenant.. It has to be unbalanced because that fits halo pretty much.

Lore-wise, this battle was extremely accurate. The MAC platforms had a massive range, but were mostly stationary, the UNSC frigates were absolutely obliterated, only the MAC guns damaged the Shadow of Intent, and by the end there were only a few cruisers and a MAC platform left.

The Bob Defense Fleet been crippled but I've gotten reports Death was able to land ground troops. UNSC Rhino ordered to support ground defense teams of generator complex. UNSC won they get a Cruiser air support and a Frigate so you must take out the Covenant citadel...good luck Jack.

Since the mac is weaker in SE physics, you could mimic the pillar of autumn's style of mac.* It could function as a dual barrel cannon, with the second barrel with a timer to fire. It takes roughly. 9 seconds to fire the cannon, set the timer to 4.5. *the pillar of autumn's mac was smaller in calibre and size, but was able to reach full charge faster as a result.

Jack, a mistake you seem to make with these battles is moving forward at all. Your UNSC big green fighting machine NEEDS to stay at insane ranges for the MAC guns to be effective and for you to not get sliced apart.

You guys should do a battle using the Space Just Got Real mod. It could itself nicely to some interesting stealth tactics. Just use a bunch of realism-focused settings, like realistic sound and the like.

Get shields down, then coordinate MAC fire from the platforms onto the engines so the fleet can redirect against other vessels in defense and cycle through until CAS remains. Mass volley and repeated MAC fire. With engines taken out, either destruction or immobility for easy retreat and regroup, as well as splitting mobile enemy forces away from crippled. Divide the Covenant fleet.

Loved the battle, it was pretty spot on in how chaotic it was. Reminded me of the halo 2 section where chief looks outside the airlock and sees an entire clusterfuck of a space battle where covenant basically rushed passed the orbital defense platform once the majority got destroyed. Was really cool hope you do more of these. Kinda suprised no ships exploded tho 😆 must have missed the engines or something. Does it work like that in engineers?

So you recall in one video the ratios I said and the reasons why? Even though they didn't have plasma weapons, Covenant shields took some beatings before going down. Giving the Covenant forces plenty of opportunity to damage and disable the defensive fleet before tearing into the orbital stations. And why the UNSC's MAC weapons when properly synced could inflict catastrophic damage to Covenant ships. However, the UNSC managed to pull off a victory. Nonetheless they are not in any condition to take on another fleet anytime soon.
