Space invaders is like this too no one even taito could say what they looked liked and changed every game.Yet they made a action figure of the thing on the side of the arcade cab thats some furry mouthless thing yet it never been in a single actual Space Invaders game.

Some of these art looks interesting cause we get to see different people's in interpretation of pac man, I think some of the designs look good.

Hey PB, have you seen the latest album release from Worm Quartet? It's practically a musical tribute to The Great Yellow Wonder including remixes for "Pac-Man is 40 and So Should You" to the original Pac-Man cartoon theme song. You need to check it out. Also, old consoles like the Atari had a limited palette and probably substituted green for one of the other colors that they couldn't reproduce.
