DAZE, you can see the top rope moving when Gunther's shoulder/neck hits the turnbuckle (slightly). I think the point of doing it on the turnbuckle is that it's not a big flat surface, so it should hurt more.

Rather you like Tony or not, even the wrestlers who talk smack on AEW are probably behind closed doors hoping the best for AEW because it helps all the wrestlers. Helps them in negotiations to make more money, more guaranteed contracts, as fans of wrestling we should want and hope for the best for both companies so we can have more of a choice in what we watch as well eventually it will lead to a better product overall. An argument can be made already that AEW has helped in certain ways to WWE doing better and opening up to longer storyline and help pushing the WWE back towards an Attitude Era. For the wrestlers alone and for us the fans we should want at the least a strong number 2 company.

Look. You can argue that was a bad camera angle when it come to Sami Zayn but rather in the ring or on the turnbuckle if your opponents head is really hit on the mat or turnbuckle it will break their necks. Honestly the move was done correctly foe the safety of both wrestlers. If you pick every move apart like that it will make it harder to suspend belief.

I really thought it was odd that The Rock took his time to set up the rock bottom and the people’s elbow and Cody showed no fight. It took quite a while between the initial setup of the rock bottom and when he finally done the people’s elbow. Also Roman’s no sell on getting 2 cross Rhodes was terrible. He got hit with the 2 and jumped right back up and speared Cody.

I agree and that was my prediction. It was just weird how they made Cody look like a jobber at the end of the match. The way the rock took his time doing his moves made Cody look real weak. I hope it’s all a setup between the rock and Cody because it made Cody look really bad last night.
