You all should do a story on the MarDet. They played a special roll on the ship even though embarked ship’s personnel did not care for us. I was part of the MarDet, USS Coral Sea, CV-43 from 77-80. The Hornet currently sits at the same pier we always tied up to. The Enterprise sat on the other side. Semper Fidelis.
