There is no lie here sis you have spoken facts o my! You are better off finding stability here before bringing kids in: the toll on you will be doubled if you have to put your kids through that stress as well. It’s always a sensitive topic telling someone to leave their kids behind and as a mother I can relate but remember it’s for their future and the greater good in the long term overall. ❤

Good points Sis, I hope people in these situations would think about these very well. I had to stay back in Nigeria with my son while my husband did his masters here in Australia for 3 years. I know it was not easy. But that was the best decision for us. After my son and I joined my husband. We both decided not to have another baby until we are both well settled. My husband has a good job now . Our son is in school and I have a permanent job. We can comfortably have another baby now..that 3 years apart changed a lot about us individually but thank God we were able to adjust. A lot of sacrifices and compromise comes with travelling abroad for people with families.pls think about it and both partners should agree ..

I hear you about the compromises! That's exactly what needs to be considered and carefully too. I am happy to hear that in the end it all worked out for you. Thanks for sharing your story here. Much appreciated.

How about moving to Australia on a skilled visa 482? we're family of five and husband is the main applicant and me as dependent has no restriction on work and studies. We're planning to apply separately after husband's visa approval. probably few months when he is settled.

Hello Chioma, thank you for your very informative and insightful videos and to think that they are free is highly commendable. I have been having the dream of migration to Australia and thank goodness I stumbled on channel and must admit I'm in the best channel. Please kindly help me to clear on this concern of mine. My plan is for my wife to go through the student visa route to eventually get the PR but our biggest challenge is how to handle our young children cos my wife has made it clear she can't travel with them alone from the beginning and I am not always available due to my work type and can't abandon my job to join her right now. Imagine to say this video struck a chord with my wife's thought. So I want to know if family members like mother or siblings can qualify as dependent to join on the student visa?

Aussie - not going to watch the entire video but can totally support what you have said and why you have said it, and to be fair, please do make sure you let people know this is not just about tourists or people on visas. the supports provided to mothers and working mothers in Australia is diabolical. There is pressure from our government to have 'single mothers' return to work and study, they will (as aussie citizens) get more support re child care, BUT its not always quality. I have two daughters, one is married, and one is a single mother, both struggle with the costs of childcare and most of my married daughters wage goes to childcare, but she wants to retain her skills for once her second child starts school. edited to say - as a person that has raised children and also studied bheaviour and psychology of children. the reality is.. that relocating children anywhere destabilises them, especially if you take them away from ALL their security, schools, family and environments. it can be traumatising.

@@faioi6076yup, only PR and Citizens have access to free public education. You also will not have Medicare cover unfortunately.
