I want to solve the mystery behind Geometry Dash's most infamous gamemode... For years no one has known the true origin of the Swing Copter found in the GD Main Level Dash, the Swing has origins in many Top 1 levels such as the Extreme Demons Bloodlust, Plasma Pulse Finale, and Yatagarasu. ​@@MatMart​ LOL no worries, it was just lucky and funny timing. i was showing my friend what lobotomy dash levels looked like, and when i was done i saw that some people left a comment on my level saying that they came from this video. i never really thought much of swing copters until now, since in my eyes all i did was make the connection that "hey, this funny dual ball gameplay looks like swing copters" while i was messing around with the new dual portals. i did have a feeling that i was the first to create something unique back then because i also did a search for the name "swing copters" and all of them didn't make use of the dual ball mechanic, but seeing it tentatively confirmed like this is really cool :))

Interestingly, the wave was originally referred to as the “Dart” in the icon kit. However, this was a while after the wave was released, as you couldn’t customize waves in 1.9. After seeing that the community had agreed on it being called “The wave”, the in-game name was changed accordingly.

honestly the new swing is pretty good. If he directly copied the physics from the duel ball swing, it wouldn’t be necessary to make the gamemode. Besides, if you want better physics for the swing you can use the gravity trigger.

Just think of it like this, if the swingcopter wasnt floaty and didnt have that turning animation that makes the gameplay so precise sometimes, if the swingcopter just turned instantly it would be nearly impossible to straght fly with it because you would have to spam your mind out, and its ectremely likely there will be swingcopeter straght fly gamplay in upcoming 2.2 extreme demons

Wave wave is still around and is genuinely an amazing game, but the og dev doesn’t own it anymore and you have to pay a subscription fee to gameclub to play it. (Or abuse the 10 minute free trial by deleting and reinstalling the game)
