The Teekah Lewis case hits different for me. A friend and I used to work at that bowling alley, and were there the night she was taken. I remember the police knocking on my door first thing Sunday morning. A feeling helpless as she was kidnapped later in the evening during the night-shift. Prayers to her mother and the rest of her family.

I was a 12 year old runaway. The police never truly looked for me. I had been in the back of numerous police cars during this time, and never did the police know who i was even though they had a 4x4 picture of me on the dashboard, that i could SEE. Only time i was ever 'found' is when i entered the police station and identified myself. No one ever activity looked for me. Ever. I been ' missing ' for 39 years...BY CHOICE. Sure my momma sang the blues for all who would listen, but what truly goes on behind closed doors is why i left and my own mother threatened me with a brutal death if i ever spoke about what went on behind our family door. I lived on the streets in cities from montreal to vancouver island, and as far north as the artic circle...with dozens of other runaway youth. Make no mistake, the police ALWAYS KNEW WHERE TO FIND US. They knew every squat, drop in center, church that fed us and even know the schedule of said churches. They sure knkw how to find any of us if we had warrants. It is my opinion police stations, cops and judges fo not want the hassle of trying to make these kids stay where the courts place them. The courts NEVER ASKED THE RIGHT QUESTIONS, like WHY??? because they did not want to confront the answers. They did not want to hear why an entire generation of youth were acting out, running away and dreaming about killing their parents. Running away was easier than doing time. I am however mad extremely sad by the actual missing children who did not run away... Please stop releasing balloons, they cause so much harm to wildlife.

I was a teen in the 70's in Northern Ca. Typical of the era, we didn't think twice about hitchhiking. I didn't do it a lot but I did do it, at least, a half dozen times I'd say. I see how risky it was, of course, as an adult and feel fortunate nothing bad ever happened. Yes, the 70's had many serial killers. Bundy, Ed Kemper, The Zodiac killer, David Berkowitz, JWG, the Hillside stranglers, and others I may not be remembering in the moment.

There are so many more missing and unsolved cases and you don't give them any air time yet you repeat stories you have no new information since the last time it was aired.
