While it is indeed unfortunate that Dan Wilson passed in such a preventable and tragic way. I do not blame the Montana PD/Sheriffs or Highway Patrol for failing to locate a body within 5 miles of a car alongside the sparse Montana highways. Lack of cognizant brain function means he might have already become aphasic to external stimulus such as sirens or calls for response. They work with limited resources, and time is the most damning of all limits. Try to do a little of your own detective work, and use some resources like maps, even google, to see the Montana stretch of road on I-94. You will see a lot of uneven land, the Yellowstone river running alongside and crossing it at several points, and several shrubs and large bushes dotting alongside the entirety of the highway. One of the problems were seeing is that we, like the officers in the story, are thinking rationally. Dan Wilson was not, instead of staying with his vehicle, or alongside the road, he ventured off almost 5 miles away in areas that aren't easy to see low to the ground from distances the search parties were engaging from.

The last time my family moved back to my state from Utah, the carbon monoxide poisoning from the muffler thing happened. We all survived, but for some of us...barely. It took some hours to figure out what was wrong, but when my sister collapsed in a bathroom and my grandmother got delirious, that was the clue to head to the nearest off-highway hospital like yesterday. I think Dad realized what was happening when my grandmother became incoherent, and he put the pieces together. I know I was feeling so sick I could barely stand. Shaking all over. He sped us all to the hospital, but with all the windows down and told us that, no matter what, _don't go to sleep._ I know I was pinching myself and shaking my little brother (he was on my lap after we all rearranged ourselves) and he kept complaining about how cold he was. It was a nightmare. We made it to the hospital and I remember being put on oxygen and dropping off for about, oh, 45 minutes? I felt better, and Mom was there and told me my sister and grandmother were better now; grandma's mind was clear. Everyone would be okay. Dad had phoned relatives (we were just one state away by that point) and they came to get us the rest of the way, and haul the trailer, while my Dad took the car in for muffler repairs. I went from so sick I was nearly passing out and shaking with tremors, to being able to walk straight again and think clearly in the space of about two hours.

Many fake charities are really headed by the exact same type of investment fraudsters we see on these episodes. The need for charity proves/shows government failure. Charities don't estimate how much money they'll need before the problem is eradicated therefore we know they are really constantly siphoning people donations as wages for themselves and the source is our emotional state when we see someone in need. I think the Wilson case was definetely attributed to Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Poor guy was probably in such a bad psychotic state that he pulled his car to the side of the highway, walked out in a nearby field and just laid there till he died. Terrible what Carbon Monoxide can do to a healthy mind.

i don't disagree but walking to a nearby field *5 miles away* isn't nearby at all. weird case.
@buckeyeschmave Жыл бұрын
@@m.night_schlongislong With a decent stride, that might take only an hour or two, even across fields. How he was not found for five years that close to where he disappeared surprised me, but I don't know that part of the country. There are probably many places out there where someone might never be found.
@browncow842210 ай бұрын
@@buckeyeschmave Know I’m late to the party but I have to mention that law enforcement not finding victims even if they’re close by is common surprisingly. I’ve seen on here diving enthusiasts who dive in lakes and such and they often find remains of people, even when police dive teams searched these areas they found nothing only for the enthusiasts to find them years later. It’s an odd thing but very common how frequently police don’t find evidence that’s nearby. I get that Wilson guy was miles from the car, but even if they searched within a 5 mile radius I still think it’s unlikely they would’ve him. It’s similar to the missing 411 phenomenon where people are found in areas already searched or under circumstances that don’t make sense, or often not found at all with no sign of what happened. There may be a reasonable explanation for it all like human error or maybe something else. Thought it was worth a mention

Sadly, Gail was found to have committed suicide in a Mobile, Alabama hotel while registered under the false name of Jackie Stafford within a few days after disappearing. After the broadcast, a forensic administrator who had been watching noticed the similarities to a woman found in the hotel two years earlier and called the tele-center. Forensic tests confirmed her identity. On November 11, 1988, her family held a memorial service for her in Brunswick, Maine. She was buried in Mobile, Alabama

Armored vehicles getting held up then find out its an inside job.

It's exactly due to people like in this thread who condemn the victim that victims often don't come forwards. They are not con artists because they are bad at it. For them it's their job and they are good at it. If you're that heartless to call women who fell victim to con artists dumb hoes then you're a piece of shit. And there are a lot of people like that out there. One can be conned twice, you know. Stop blaming the victims. Condemn the con. Weird people you all are. Except for the one who actually listened well to the story and pointed it out she was not conned before. In fact. She was alert to those people and still got conned. A clear indication how crafty those cons are.
