if you are a educated individual, you look educated, a nice shirt , a nice watch, well spoken and you know what you are talking, you are smart, then people will respect you, if you look like a rich prostitute , the money dose not hold much value, because you are like a empty good for nothing shell with money, and the money is the only thing holding you up, and is sad to see people coming from the uk , we expect univeristy educated well dressed people, but we get thugs and prostitutes, but you are the one coming from the first wqorld country, money is not everything

I agree with all your points but at the same time this level of frustration comes with living in lagos, there are other states in Nigeria where you could live a relatively peaceful life even as an average person. The uncertainty of living in lagos makes people do all sorts of things.

I'm a Latino living in Nigeria & a couple of things you said has happened to me 1- Random kids n people approaching my car for money. Normally I hold a sign that says " do 50 push-ups 2- Apparently I'm White n have millions of dollars. 3- Was almost scammed by 3 drivers 4- Was almost scammed by police 5- Was almost scammed out of $2000 by immigration officers. Let's just say my phone comes in handy lol. And yes I do speak Pidgin 🙏🏽

I don’t know what possessed you to go to Nigeria. But all the people I know who still live there A) have lots of money B) travel very often and C) rarely go out to nightclubs and stuff. Just occasional dinners. I haven’t been to Nigeria in years. But from what I’ve gathered from friends and family, you’ve got to keep yourself exclusive and keep a low profile in order to survive and live happily. If you decide to stay there, please don’t let them stress you. You don’t want gray hair and wrinkles before your time. You’re a determined lady, so I know you’ll make it in the end. All the best.

Girl The get a car rule is soooo relatable to me right now as someone who just vacationed in Cameroon. Car rental is a scam in Cameroon. You pay the rental company plus the driver scams you too and any one who refered you to the car rental. Its ridiculous. Also the men are superior thing is so true in Cameroon too, sometimes when i would talk to them they would ignore me and start talking to my younger brother. This happened on countless occasions, i was just tired.

They started claiming defense: in case robbers come or fire , bla bla bla😂😂😂 bloody liars, people that will sacrifice their wives and family expect me to believe that they'd save a random woman. I've been using that route and bus park for years, never heard that 😂😂😂 I thank God I'm stubborn sha. Go to places that make sense go to places where you’re likely to meet the best of Nigerians and not the worst of Nigerians example night clubs, you can’t expect to meet the best there and expect the worst etc and just stay safe really and don’t pressure yourself unnecessarily. Don’t go and be doing hard babe oo if it’s too much for you please excuse yourself quickly so they don’t frustrate you. Lol

Some of these rules don't apply outside Lagos. As for having cash handy, it's good. Because it will make life easy, but if you can fit into the crowd, you can get things done with out tipping.
