Are there no hospitals near the outback that you get onto a plane and fly so far?

Australia is so big and there are some places so remote in the Outback that they need to be serviced by the Royal Flying Doctor Service! The RFDS started in 1928 and delivers emergency aeromedical and healthcare services to remote communities across Australia. They own 67 aircraft and operate 23 bases and on average, each day, the service travels 73,554 kilometres by air! www.flyingdoctor.org.au

I can only imagine the outback is no place for anyone to venture about first of all the heat secondly the deadly snakes and spiders scorpions so forth and thirdly the outback is so big if you do not know how it works your as good as dead I would strongly think . But in Austria 🇦🇹 we don't have that Terri heat it gets slightly warm in summer and winter it gets extremely cold with the snow which I so love . I wouldn't think Australia ever gets cold let lone snow it's always hot there I can only believe

That rain storm never stopped that chopper getting to Darwin. It's all hyped up for TV. I enjoy watching this but it's made for a naive city audience.

There are some serious storms in Northern Australia and during the wet season especially if there is a cyclone, stations can be isolated for weeks until waters subside and choppers aren't built to fly in storms,
