This game was so amazing. I enjoyed every second. I'm really impressed by the amount of work that went into the development of this game, from a dev studio that hadn't really made anything noteworthy before. The graphic details, motion capture, reproduction of every actor's face, story, gameplay, animations, freedom of choice. Everything was praiseworthy. People will always find fault. But Supermassive Games should be proud of what they accomplished. A few things that didn't add up for me. ****SPOILER**** 1) All throughout the game, the monsters were sometimes in groups of 2 or more when they followed/attacked everybody. So why in the end were they suddenly hostile to each other when they never had been before? 2) Everybody in the game, 8 people, found multiple ways into the mine in the span of 8 hours. They all also found ways out. So why couldn't Hannah in 30 days find her way out? She'd clearly gotten as far as the miners' things or more likely the sanatorium because she'd found a file folder and a pencil to keep a diary. 3) Wouldn't arson dude gone to help Beth and Hannah? He watched them fall, he knew where they landed, he knew the mines, and he wasn't really scared of the monsters. 4) That said, wouldn't the monsters have killed Hannah long before she went nuts?

+pumkin54 1. I think the idea is they were just fighting over the "kills" or something. 2. People keep asking this question but I think the answer is obvious, there's no way you would be able to walk after a fall like that, she probably crawled/dragged herself what little way she could go. What I found hard to believe is that she buried Beth, there's just no way you'd be able to dig a grave in that state. 3. Bit of a plot hole that he wouldn't go to retrieve their bodies/help in the search, you got 'em there. 4. No, because there were no monsters around until Hannah changed, most were locked up in the Sanatorium until Mike (shithead that he is) released them by blowing it up. There was only the Alpha Wendigo chasing Hannah and Beth, and the Native guy killed it with his flamethrower, thus releasing it's spirit and allowing the curse to infect Hannah.

+Dean Cutler 1. That's what makes it even more nonsensical. When they're together chasing a single kill is when they would most likely fight each other for it. When there's 4-5 people available to kill, why would they then suddenly become hostile to one another? 2. That's my point exactly. At some point she was well enough to get around. She buried Beth and she wandered around and found stuff to write a journal. She was mobile. She even possibly got as far as the sanitarium because her journal was written in a patient's file folder. 4. You don't know that there was only the Alpha wendigo out and about. Unless he says that somewhere and I missed it. Also, he didn't kill it. He himself says you can't kill them. That's why he locked them up instead.

+pumkin54 Actually... 1-The Wendigos cant see stillness and their vision is based on movement, so if something moves, they will be able to see it and attack, Since Mike,Sam,Emily,Ashley and Chris were not moving, they were practically invisible so they didnt knew about Them, They Just attack moving things, EVERYTHING That moves. 2- She had a broken leg, Just one, so she wasnt really in condition of getting out, also she pretty much was New to the place and she would have died if try to walk alone, btw she did stay in 3 different spots where the flamethrower guy wasnt able to find, since the Makkapittew was already burned and the other Wendigos were Trapped.

R Tempest, you’ve got to be right about the teenagers not being able to see the hints in the totems, only the player can. Because if Beth had been able to see what would happen to her and her sister Hannah in the first totem, I doubt she would’ve continued marching into the forest alone, she would’ve at least gone back to the lodge to try and get help, and most of the events in the game would never have taken place.

I hate Emily, but even I wouldn’t have shot her. Plus, Mike will probably go to jail for shooting her, and she’s not worth swinging from a rope by your neck for. Or spending the rest of your life in prison for killing her. I wouldn’t call this the best ending because in truth you lose both Mike and Emily, because even if Mike survives the night his life is ruined. I feel it’s better to let Emily live so Mike has a chance at a real life, in freedom. Besides, I wouldn’t want even my worst enemy to die in a game like this, all the deaths are much too horrible.

Well you have to put yourself into the character to actually feel the situation. Ye sure i agree with you, Emily is really anoying and no one likes her (well except Matt) she's not worth it BUT, if you were Mike, and you dont know the bite doesn't infectious, all you know is she might turning into one of those things any minute now and kill all of you, She refuse to go outside. I too don't want to shoot her, at first i was thinking tie her up and just leave her there but as you can see those things can easily ripped off even metal locks. So you have 2 choices: 1. Let Emily live, risking everyone's life including yours 2. Shoot her in order to survive What will you do? Its not just about Emily, its about everyone's safety we're talking about.

I enjoy the camera work in this game.. it's absolutely wonderful. Reminds me of old Resident Evil and Silent Hill games where the cameras were stuck in certain places. The horror element is suspenseful and so much more. The characters are made to be loved or hated, but at the same time, they give a slight B-movie feel. It's interesting, to say the very least.. but the most? The game is an absolutely INSANE representation of the W*ndigo. (I've heard tales that if you say the name, it invites them.. so I censored it for my native friends who are reading the comments.) The design is terrifying and unsettling and yet it gives an original spin on it! Well done, developers.

Can someone explain to me the whole thing about *spoilers* 1:45:18 there’s a ghost in the background... of Hannah? That leads me to believe that wendigos are the vessel of a human being but their spirit is “replaced”, hence the spirit board communication. Sound right? So then is Hanndigo being protective at the very end? Recognizes Josh?

I know this was a year ago but, all the ghost things were orchestrated by Josh using projections. Josh also faked the ouija board thing as well. That's probably right, Hanndigo recognized Josh and couldn't bring herself to eat him, maybe a tiny piece left inside of her stopped it from happening. Or because he was so crazy, the spirit of the Wendigo knew he'd be a new candidate for possession very soon.

I noticed a mistake the developers made. Remember how Ashley notices Emily’s bite wound, around 4:52:00? Well she is at the wrong angle to see it, for one thing, looking over Emily’s right shoulder (the one that’s injured but is mostly covered by her fur collar). Earlier on at 4:38:00, Ashley is sitting on the couch, next to Emily’s left side. Emily and Ashley are looking face-to-face, Emily’s wound is on her right shoulder, much easier to spot if Ashley is looking from Emily’s left side, yet Ashley takes no notice of it. I’m surprised they didn’t notice it right then.

The time has come to leave a comment because this game... At first, I watched "The Inpatient | Until Dawn Prequel". I fell in love with the story, the atmosphere was so breathtaking but - for obvious reasons - I really didn't understand what's going on. So, to change this I decided to watch this video. I don't think I can describe my feelings with only one word, neither a sentence - no matter how long it is because this game is really... (You can stop reading here if you are not interested. :D) I've never seen a game like this before. 'Is it a movie?' - I asked myself sometimes. (Nope. Honestly, I asked this almost every enthralling scene.) I was watching it maybe for an hour when I had to check out when this game was made because the graphic - the shadows, the movements, the exhaustive details (from the glow through the gorgeous view to the characters' emotions) believed me I see flesh and blood people with real feelings about love, pain and fear. So, 'Jesus hot sauce Christmas cake', it believed me that IT IS DEFINITELY NOT A GAME! The structure of the story is special because multiple threads run. You can be any of the characters. What can be cooler than this? But it's hard to keep in your mind what exactly happened with each person - especially when you talk to the doctor. However, those scenes connected every single happening, those scenes cut the story-line. This "trick" is like reading a book where only you and the writer know what exactly is going on. It can be good because you are the first who know about everything but you are the first who can feel this so disappointing when you have to waste your time with explaining many-many happenings. I guess, it must be happen because there is no other way to build a story based on parallel events. Playing this game for about six hours is more than enough to know the characters. And this game could keep the balance between this and lead the story. When I finished I had only one question: what happened with the dog? In total, the dramaturgy was perfect but at this point I really don't understand what happened. Mike got a new friend in the shape of a dog. The dog followed him, so, I was waiting for the scene where the dog saves Mike's life or vice versa. But nothing happened. And every time when Mike closed a door the dog was there. BUT HOW?! Maybe the dog knows more that place than anyone of us. :D I'm really happy that I found this channel because I'm addicted to your videos. A whole night movie without any annoying commentary but with the best quality. I know that you are "just" playing and uploading the videos but hey! You're giving your best. And we all really appreciate it. Keep this up! :)

I think this is one of the better walkthrough's on youtube. You made all the right choices aside from killing Emily. I don't think any of the characters deserve to die. You should have let Emily keep the flare gun so she could avoid being bitten. 3:42:55 Good choice. Most people choose courageous and miss out on one of the best scenes in the game in my opinion. I think Ash and Chris are the best characters so I am happy they survived at least.

Here's a way to improve your videos: yeah whenever you record a walkthrough it's probably your second time playing it so you know what you'd be doing. Let the viewers read the notes and stuff the characters get. Also, look at the butterfly effect menu screen so viewers can see how and what was effected. Do this for all of your videos, I can't ever read the notes the characters get.

You were just curious about about the choices presented to you. No biggie. This game, although having a fantastic environment and visuals, has this particularity to it. It's normal to try out all options in a game ;) This is just a game and these are just game characters, but the thing is, someone real wrote the script of this game and they inadvertently let their own psychopathic version of "normal" human behavior seep into to the game, thinking that this behavior he conferred to the characters was normal/understandable under the circumstances he presented. That male character (the executioner) straight out behaves like a psychopath. And all the other characters behave like sociopaths at one point or another in the game, including even Sam. It's especially noticeable in that execution scene (their reaction to the executioner right before and afterwards the execution and also their disregard for the victim) but it's also noticeable in other parts of the game. For us, this is just a game, but assuming the characters are intended to imitate reality, they are imitating psychopaths and sociopaths instead of normal people, even despite the extreme situation they are portrayed in, including their abnormal lack of worrying even for their own safety in many situations (also a trait of psychopaths). Psychopaths lack the understanding of normal human behavior, and so they naturally commit these huge misjudgments when attempting to mimic normal people. To any normal person, the mask of a psychopaths slips up very easily through these often blatant and brutal lacks of judgement no normal person would ever have. One only has to pay attention to these little details to spot one.

Does anyone else think that Sam looks like the Actress hayden panettiere the girl from Nashville? And that one of the twins looks alot like Shay Mitchell who plays "Emily" from pretty little lairs. Seems like they all resemble some type of actor or actress because mike looks like Charlie day from always sunny, the dr hill reminds me of someone but I cant put my finger on it.

That's because they all do resemble real life actors. Sam _is_ played by Hayden Panettiere. Dr. Hill is played by Peter Stormare.

yes because she don't add any value, same with Ashley and Chris. I think those 3 are the weakest characters of the game.

@Smirkface Potato I think you would do the same if that was you, but notice if you don't point it at her she lets you in. and while Emily might be smarter when it comes to surviving, she's all about herself. She's more likely to put someone at risk. Ashley is all about loyalty and putting others before herself. her main weakness is her overreaction of things without thinking, but we all can relate cause we've been there. and honestly if your gonna kill Emily off, it's better to let a wendigo do it, then to have to wait and do it with Mike. because that's the only other time you get the option, but that's another reason to kill her off, then you wouldn't have to worry about Ashley freaking out about the bite mark. oh and in case you think I'm favoring Ash in any way, no I kill her and Chris off because I don't think they add much value, same with Emily. I mentioned already how Ashley's main weakness is not pay attention to things, she's more likely to follow the voice.

Emily's character and Ashley and Chris are the types that usually die in horror movies, because of how they are. technically the ones that are meant to survive is Mike and Sam, there the ones that have the last option to kill off. so no Emily is not why they survive.
