Until Then Actually has 3 Main Endings, 2 of which seemed to be missed by most players due to bugs regarding the Continue Button and the Duration of the Credits. This tragically means most players miss over 50% of the game that occurs in the Second and Third Chapters.

The first ending was like worst than bad ending, and the true ending is the happiest ending, as long as cathy is Alive and no one dies I. AM. HAPPY

Not rly? In the first ending he lives his entire life married to Nicole and they have happy marriage. In bad ending he is forever stuck in his wish to get people back, so Nicole accepts it and abandons him. In normal ending only bad thing that happens is death of Cathy, in bad ending mc becomes crazy, Nicole abandons him, Prez and Cathy are erased and photo/film guy abandons mc because he think that mc was at fault for what happens to Cathy.

A good ending is depending on the characters and not what the players wanted to. To them the good ending was to resolve their issues and moving on without causing anyone's life.

There's 4th ending when Cathy is alive, mark and nicole married and have a child together and everybody just go into a school reunion and they celebrate it together with a huge smile on their faces. Then mark just says out of nowhere " I'm glad, the world hasn't ended yet " If you want to unlock this, all you have to do is to have determination and pure imagination to accept this ending as a reality in your head.

I was actually losing the entire time causs i switched my button layout to the arrows on my controller, and i noticed Caths car bugging out and thought, "As long as she finishes before i do it's alright" then i caught up with her tried to help her move bu bumping into her to let her finish the cars didn't have a collision mechanic i felt so bad then i guess the game registers her car not moving so it made her lose automatically and said one word in a big red text "OUT" I didn't want to finish but i did genuinely felt like a slap in the face.

I wanted there to be more after finishing act 3. Went back to Act 1 just to see if there was anything more haha. Im actually working on a full video to explain the endings! But the tldr is that these 3 endings only really make full sense if you play through NG and NG+ which is where you get the later two endings! Otherwise they are more then a bit odd. But a short summary would be First -> Cath Dies, Gang Moves on Bad -> Louise and Cath Die, Mark goes Insane True -> Noone Dies, Ruling Never Happens, Mark and Nicole never meet

I am disappointed that the game led me to believe I had important choices to make throughout, only to find out that it follows a direct storyline without any major decisions that significantly impact the story. I think it would have been much more fun if we had the option to make our own decisions and thus unlock an ending based on our results. Despite this, I absolutely loved the game.

Maybe I'm overlooking this, or trying to find more where there's not but: how exactly did they save cathy from dying ? Was it simply because they accepted their wrongs and moved on? Was cathy dying in fact not inevitable and was simply just a few timelines where it happened, and the one where mark and nicole have inner peace with themselves, is the one where the truck scene never happened, and only just her running away at the train station happened instead ? What caused the different realities to interfere with each other. Is this simply just a factor of time travel/looping that we have to ignore, and accept that at some point of the story it HAS to not make sense given the nature of the narratives core component ? What happened to the mom and nicoles friend ? Also another note, there was a very brief scene with a man holding a gun and shooting someone. What was that about ? I would like to say I could ignore it, but that seemed like a very severe scene. Is this simply just left as: "it is what it is". If that's the case I'm not entirely certain I'm satisfied with that ending. I loved this game a lot, and I still think it's a solid 8/10, but I want to understand the nuances of how they got to this ending.

So Cath in the original timelines was having a rough situation at home, but in this timeline Mark (whose no longer focused on his missing mother) is able to give her enough attention that he notices this occurring and seemingly helps with her brother to find ways to aid her. I think Cathys death is inevitable in the original timelines because Mark never had a chance to start repairing his relationship with her and thus her mental state before the start of the loops, which changes after he moves on. The realities colliding seems to be due to Jake and Marks Mom messing with destiny Resulting in her having no reason to run away from home which was the crux of her death in timeline 1 and 2. The gun scene seems to have been a timeline between the void and collapse of society showing just how desperate the situation got.

However I wish instead they had us do one final loop, and have us directly involved with Cathys story, rather than having a lot of it offscreen/implied. From a narrative perspective having the truck scene play out and saving her would have been the best as it was the basis for a lot of the game. Still a great game, and is probably in my top 20, but I think it could have been a 9/10 if they did the ending different imo.

I think it's because their kind of soulmate fate wasn't ultimately about romance but rather that they became the people who helped each other move on and face their darkest truths - but they also tethered each other to those painful loops. As long as they were in each others' lives, they would keep repeating the same nightmare, things getting worse; it could only end when they went on their own paths and lived their own lives. They were brought into each others' lives by outside forces, by the fate of those dejavu experiences. But they could never escape that loop. I think there's a kind of poetry to it; in the end they gave each other what they needed to REALLY live and to have full lives, and importantly, to be more present with those they love.

While this game was cool for the most part I have problem with how it ends. Like they made this big deal of how world is slowly destroyed and then it is simply fixed by them accepting smth... not even loss as they do that in the first rout.... What is even worse true ending (despite being cut and not shown here) makes it obvious that the whole reason for all this problem is mc mom and Nicole childhood friend.... Like they made constantly repeating and breaking worlds that become worse and worse... and in each of them they created literal earthquake that murders ten thousands if not millions and later on milliards of people. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personally I would prefer if it was not alternate worlds, or them being reset after living their full lives as it ruins their relation ship as they are simply imprinted in each reality, erasing original them in those world... IT also means that they did not actually save anyone because all those deaths and erasures were real. They simply jumped into next world which will get ruined..... I would prefer if they went time route and not dimension route or at least made sure that those worlds were not destroyed but collapsed on itself merging. It is already si-fi so having those dimensions re-merge, would mean that does deaths did not accure or were fixed and we would have fallowed the same pair all the time.

I'm very confused by the Cath portion of the true ending. Do we get any context for the group hug scene? It looks like she's decided to run away or maybe game end herself. Prior to the hug it seems like a very dark situation thats given next to no explanation. It comes across very dark to me given the intro sequence, talking about how she disappeared without a trace and how he only ever feels her in the rain. Running away seems like it doesnt make sense since Mark and Ridel are literally all she has and in the later loops she is almost begging on hands and knees to stay with Mark. She's also wearing pajamas and standing very close to the tracks to feel the rain....both of which I interpret as signs of extreme stress. Mark also says he's going to save her and both he and ridel are already running through the forest..... all of which makes me think he's trying to save her from more than just running away. (I could and probably am reading to much into this, its just the feeling I got) but either way, what I want to know is what drove her to this? If its the abuse why is it so different from the previous cycles? I think this takes place well before the prom, so why could she cope the first few times but not this time. I think it carries some significance, otherwise why isn't this scene taking place at the bus stop. I mean, holding her as the truck passes by would fit better from a narrative perspective, you show that the loop is broken, Mark would have finally made it in time, they get to have their last dance, we would have the context for how Mark organically realized the abuse she is facing etc. where as here all of that takes place off screen. Considering we spend loops 2 and 3 trying to stop the Cath's death at the bus stop it seems like the location for the climax of Cath's story should have significance but I just cant figure out what it is.

So the scene occurs far in the past back when Marks Mom first went missing, While it never is really established where or what that house is, it can be assumed that wherever it is, its not Marks House (consider flashbacks), suggesting that we may not be near the regular bus stop. Personally i view it as with Mark having moved on from his grief in this moment far in the past, he is able to do something he wasnt able in the original timeline which is notice the degree of pain that Cathy was in. I believe she tried running away in this scene and in the original timeline she did, accelerating the cycle of mistreatment back home till the point where we see it. Overall im not 100% sure yet, but i think the reason it is narratively far away is to show that destiny is no longer connected to those events anymore, and rather a new destiny has been forged.
