Great video. They just don't make them like that anymore .Back then, they were built to last, unlike today's machines. Keep up the good work and hello from Germany.

So very true. This saw is rock solid and very heavy. Can’t wait for all the parts to come in to get it working again

Those old saws are hard to come by these days. Hope the motor isn't in too bad of shape.

Yes, these saws are so much better than anything being produced today

How are the saw blade shaft bearings? After twenty something years I would replace those.

I’ve checked the bearing. They are sealed bearing and seem to be in good shape. Thank you for the suggestion.

Only 25 years on a rebuild? What a piece of junk.....

lol, this saw has been amazing over the years. I used it to build custom cabinets for a long time. My father used it before me. It has been through numerous floods and hurricanes and run also daily for the past six years here on KZbin. The saw will most likely outlast me and will be pasted down to one of my sons.

Yea I have a 1985 Ctaftsman saw I really need to rebuild. I enjoy your videos, thanks for making them.

Thank you very much much. Old saws such as this in my opinion are far better than the new ones made today. Let’s face it the motor makes the saw. All the bells and whistles on the new saws don’t compare to a real solid motor. Thank you for you comments and I hope you rebuild your saw
