Hundred of Bengali/Bihari were our class /hostel and University mate and we used to live there in descent friendly and brotherly atmosphere. What so happened in former East Pakistan was all due to greed and avarice of Power hunger Bhutto, who was reluctant to sit in opposition. If Mujeeb, being rightful, was handed over the rule of country, I am sure that still we were be United. However one should not forget the treatment of Mukti Bahni during 1971with West Pakistani and Bihari families, even the infants in the laps of mothers were not pardoned and killed by ruthless means.

East Pakistan was a colony of Pakistan. The money looted from East Pakistan was used to develop West Pakistan. Bengali were discriminated against. There was injustice against Bengalis. Mujeeb ur Rahman won the 1970 election with a landslide. If power had been transferred to Mujeeb ur Rahman, by the army , as required , then things would have continued smoothly.

Sheikh Mujib won the election, and straight way he had to be the prime minister of Pakistan. But Bhutto wasn't ready to accept the result. Using his good relationship with Yahya, tryed to delay hand over the power. Yahya wanted to stay as President and Bhutto wanted to be Prime minister. Well! What catalyzed the independence of Bangladesh was the killing of innocent people and rapping the girls and women of Bangladesh by the name of notorious operation searchlight. Pakistani army were so brutal that Bangladeshi people did all they can to get rid of that terrible persecution. Can you imagine the killing of 3 million armless innocent people just in 9 months? The sad is Pakistan government did not even apologize for their mistreat still now. I came to know that this history is even hidden from the textbooks in Pakistan. So unfair!

No North Indian leader ever said that a South Indian cant be a PM Definetely, two North Indian leaders, Mr Arjun Singh & NDT Thiwari let loose all constitutional tricks to topple the Rao government, but failed In 2004, Mr Manmohan Singh, a Sikh, became the PM of India, ruled till May 2014 No one ever said that a Sikh cant be the PM of India You have mentioned relevant causes for the breakup of Pakistan except one important reason

I am a citizen of Bangladesh. In 1971 many atrocities and injustices were done to the common people of Bangladesh. The young girls of Bangladesh were taken from their homes by the army and raped. Pakistan army and political party leaders did not consider the people of Bangladesh as human beings. Many injustices were done to us in 1971. Alhamdulillah present Bangladesh is Pakistan. As a Bangladeshi as well as a student of politics, after analysing a lot of data, I have come to the conclusion that all four characters were responsible for the fall. Mujib was a servant of India, and his daughter Hasina is carrying his legacy towards infinity! Today, our country is run by the will of India, our sovereignty is abolished, and our dignity is demolished by the Awami League. Our ancestors often say that the situation they're witnessing right now is even worse than back in the 1970s. United Pakistan was a much better solution for the utmost security of Muslims in this region. Our leaders could have established a confederation instead of a federal state. Thus, Pakistan could have existed even today.
