Book: Untouchable by Mulk Raj Anand
Hope you enjoy this review! I'm very interested in reading more Indian literature, please give me recommendations if you have any! I've heard of good things about RabindranathTagore and R. K. Narayan, and want to check them out very soon!

I too was deeply moved by the book Untouchable by Mulk Raj Anad who is India's Charles Dickens. The plot of the book is extremely well woven considering it packs in all the happenings of a single day in Bhaka (the protagonist's) life. You have spoken well in your review. The two recurrent images in this novel are the sun and the river. I am studying this novel for my Master's degree programme in English Literature.

Thank you! I completely agree, especially considering how short it is, as well!

I wanted to read this book, but couldn't find a copy in Korea. The story of "one day" sounds much like One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich--that's exactly how it goes.

It's funny you should mention One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, because I am reading that right now! I see there's copies in stock at the book depository if you are still interested in it!

Thanks for telling. Maybe someday--when I get through other books I've acquired. And have fun with Solzhenitsyn. It was a nice book. Perhaps you should do a comparison video? I myself am thinking of doing some comparison videos, which seems like an awesome way to show certain aspects of a book.

I'm going to be uploading a video about this Tuesday! off the top of my head, we are also going to read some Kincaid, Rushdie, Naipaul and of course Chinua Achebe (and a couple more but I don't have the syllabus with me). We are focusing a lot on postcolonial theory actually as well, which is nice.
