I totally agree with this idea and would like to avail one as long as nasa safety standard specification para sa mananakay at environment. I own and operate 1 unit of old jeepney and can't afford to buy the new and modernize jeepney that cost 1.8 million and cheapest is 1.2 million. Buying 1 unit of modernize e-jeepney will take you more than 15 years para lang mabawi puhunan pwera pa maintenance at mga yearly expenses sa LTO registration at LTFRB. I totally understand this group kaya humahanap sila ng paraan because only the oligarchs ang kikita sa modernization.

very nice info. mga lods...ok po sana yan proposal ng rehabilitated jeepney, basta ba lahat ng jeepney driver ay bibigyan ng financial scheme/loan para makapag operate ng ganyan sasakyan na sapamamagitan ng hulugan at hindi gumagasto ng halaga. sanay tulungan din ang mga mahihirap na driver. kung gusto tlga, may paraan.

I personally think this jeep is better in terms of the national identity of the Philippines. Dahil yung jeepney kasi ay considered as a symbol ng pilipinas. It's a part of our culture from the war years. Nag sisimbolo ito sa mga dayuhan na ito an pilipinas. The reason why I like this type of modern jeep is because it retains the original look of the jeepney. Mag add ka nalang ng solar panel para solar at kung gusto mo ng AC,Ipa glass mo nalang ung window at magpainstall ka nlang.

The most important factor/consideration is the engine which can support the load/gross vehicle-passengers weight and fuel-mileage efficiency because it determines the TAKE HOME PAY/KITA of the UV drivers. It should pass also the emission standards for pollution. UV body conformation and design should pass road safety and stability as well as passenger riding safety and comfort.

I like the jeep concept it is still the trade mark iconic that will project its philippine traditions, but when they explain how they re-create the new jeepney with overhauling the engine that wasn't really convincing. I get it I like the jeepney look as it portrays its philippine taste and style kasi, but you have to come up with impact on heat and weight on the body overall see if that engine can really full up the power to carry all this weight and travel miles per hour baka 10 miles lang hindi na Ito kayanin. Sana they really come up to much realistic study such as certified auto mobile engine should make and documents the engine horse power, types of new parts, what it makes this engine be made of? if they can invent their own engine like made of Titanium kaya diva anything is possible? Not like you overhaul the old machine then it'll go wasted in short period of time. I think the jeep should need to find a good engine manufacture in Japan, You need to come up with a better platform Sir. trust me all you need is find someone that will inject money to make the jeepney not look good in the outside but the ENGINE is a must.

Wala rin yan dahil environment friendly ang required tulad ng E-Vehicle. Yan eh na rehab at upgraded version ng luma, hindi talaga bago specially uri ng makina. Kung ginawa ba nilang gasoline engine na malaki at may hydrogen generator para hybrid engine ang labas nya na zero emission dahil gas/hydrogen ang fuel combination na ang emission ay .... water vapor
