Inaasahang mas dadami pa ang dadayong turista sa Siargao Island ngayong may binuksan na doong terminal para sa cruise ships.
Ayon sa Philippine Ports Authority, isa lamang ang terminal sa Siargao sa bagong port projects na planong itayo sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Pilipinas.

I would suggest if they open siargao as a tourist destination then they should monitor the price making one place as tourist destination makes everything expensive making it not friendly for the locals to buy things. They should regulate prices and services that is affordable for the tourist and affordable for the locals. everything in siargao is expensive times 5

Luna,ang dapat tutukan ng gobyerno ay ang hospital,dapat may mga modern medical equipments at dalubhasang mga Doctor,sad to say na ang kasalukuyang mga doctors ay pang barangay health center lamang,we have to travel to Surigao city to seek for a better medical treatment.Attention Cong.Matugas and Gov.Barbers please modernized the New Siargao Medical Center,nilagyan nyo lang ng pang first aid na Doctors.

That’s awesome. Sa mga local officials and people . maintain clean and green environment. Organized fast food chains, organized and systematized in processing papers, tickets and other activities, with pleasing personality personnels, nice facilities, toilets, washrooms, hindi yung palaging basa, puno basura, yung something that you are proud off, give seminars to the owner of transpo, hotels, restaurant, mga tour guides na sana walang over pricing, give/ serve what is due.

Opening Siargao or other tourist spots is okay but please make sure the infrastructures are in place. Otherwise, you will create frustrations on the part of the tourists that brings really bad publicity to Philippines. Also, I hope the the agencies or local government make an effort to control stray dogs out of tourist areas. It’s just so annoying.

The LGU must be ready for the increase of tourist. Improve the facilities ( medical facilities, terminal, etc) also the security, waste management and pricing of food and accomodation. Inducate the local and the possible business. We have to learn a lot of things from the past (bohol) and the currenr situation Barcelona and some part Europe were locals can no longer afford.

In the future, I believed, majority of people living there certainly not the locals but the tourists instead. Sasakupin na kayo dyan ng mga turista. Kagaya ng nangyayari sa Barcelona, Spain ngayon na nagtataasan na ang cost of living, rentals and basic commodities in that particular area. Ang makikinabang lang dapat ay ang mga Pinoy hindi mga turista. Pati mga lupain unti-unti na nilang binibili.
