Aloha again Nick Eddie here just to say that you’re thoughtful of the people you reach and it’s very good to hear you express your thoughts and concerns on the people you reach for their Safety and well being, a lot of people don’t realize the Dangers of fishing from shore, from small Injuries to even death, from stepping on Vana (sea urchins) too major fractures and head injuries. No other fishing video I’ve ever come across has expressed safety to their customers but mainly talked about how good they are, And I like how you express your losing a fish! LOL

Thanks Eddie. I know there are a lot of new anglers watching my channel and I don't want to see anyone get hurt from trying to do something that they seen me do. Always safety first. Thanks. 🤙

Thats the only fishing i do. Only now getting back to whipping grubs. Nenue, kala, and pananu is all great eats. Definitely makes your friends jealous when they go store for bait and all you do is grab em from the rocks.

Nick , after you wrap the stem you need to hook one leaf
@RAHfishing5 жыл бұрын
I was running a double hook. Hooking the bottom leaf, twist around the stem and hook again. No idea if its right or wrong but I seen someone else do something similar. 🤙
@bradahb595 жыл бұрын
@@RAHfishing I'd say theres no right or wrong way as long as it works. I use both single or double hook set ups depending if I'm going for kala or nenue. I usually run my bottom hook through the stem for better hold then wrap around the stem then use the top hook to go through the stem again instead of looping the line to secure limo. After all that I hook a single leaf on each hook because they always go for the leaves most of the time first.

Reel Adventures Hawaii Sorry bro. One more question, why do you prefer braid vs mono for whipping? I’ve always ran mono on my whipping pole and heard that once the braided line touches the reef it’s messed up. Thanks in advance for your expert advice. Learning a lot from you man.🤙🏽
@RAHfishing4 жыл бұрын
I feel like I have more control working the kites and I get a better bite because braid has zero stretch to it. Yes if braid touches the reef it will tangle really easily on the reef. So just keep your line right with zero slack and you will be fine. I only run into this problem if I’m using a floater letting the lone just drift.
@FBay4 жыл бұрын
Reel Adventures Hawaii So I just received my Stradic 5000 XGFL from HifishGear and used your code. Thanks for that. So what’s a good braided line you have on your reel? You said 30 lbs test, how many yards of line would fit in it? Sorry for all the questions and Thanks again 🤙🏽
