I bet it was modded because the original 1958 Plymouth Fury had 290 HP and a top speed of 120 MPH, this one has 300 HP and a top speed of more than 130 MPH

This has the optional 350 cubic inch Golden Commando engine (the base engine was 318 cubic inches that did have 290 HP) that produces 305 HP.

Exactly, there was an option for the Fury to get the Golden Commando engine with 305 hp, which I think was the most powerful one you could get for these Plymouth cars.
