I’ve spent the night sleeping on the stage in Blackpool tower ballroom (in 2016) :-) I wasn’t on my own, there were 500 cub scouts with me, but they were on the floor!

No, I loved it! I was surprised how well set up Blackpool tower was, although I missed the zoo and aquarium bits - when did these disappear? Just come back from RedRose2024, the local scout county’s (West Lancs) take on an international camp. People were split into 5 sub camps, but thankfully I was on a middle sized one with 519 scouts and guides, and it was fabulous! (Still way down on overseas scouts since before ‘that time’!) I can’t wait until the next one in 2028!!! …and my skills have improved so much, since I had to demonstrate stuff to all these young people! 😮😅😂

Just not the same anymore. The ballroom was always packed day and evening. One admission and you could go to any floor and up the Tower.
