I highly recommend the Duck Tours in Galveston. They take you not only on a land tour of the island but also on the water over Offats bayou.

It's one big tourist trap, Try living there.

I appreciate your perspective. It can definitely be different living in a place versus just visiting.If you have favorite local hangouts or tips, I’d love to hear them! 🏡🌟

You kinda missed all the good parts. I love the Island from going to Medical School there. Much more history and culture you missed. One of my friends had a party, and lived in a historical house. His attic was full of ceramic dolls. Almost 200 of us wanted to see the dolls. He said NO! YOU MIGHT DISTURB THEM! This guy is the most laid back hippie ever but no no and no.
@destinationdos7 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing that! Sounds like I have much more to explore and share about Galveston’s rich history and culture. Your story about the ceramic dolls is intriguing-definitely a unique piece of local lore! I’d love to hear more of your experiences and recommendations. I might incorporate them in a part 2! 👍😊

like swimming in a dirty toilet. its a dead city. in the late 70s and 80s was kinda cool. but with the recent hurricanes all coolness has been washed away
