about the name in Arabic discussed in the first few minutes - I grew up in the area and the area just north of the Tel is called in Arabic `Lajoon` - because of the (Roman) Legion that was camped at Megido 2000 years ago.

Yep. Dr. Adams is running the archaeological excavation at Legio, we filmed an episode about it that will be soon released.

Just getting back. What happened to IF's previous series? It seems there are a lot of videos missing. Would love to revisit some of those.
@KEDEMChannel4 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, KZbin dictated that we remove them. You can still find them (the raw materials without our additions/edits) at the Albright KZbin channel.

@KEDEMChannel , wow that's strange. And unfortunate. Not sure why they would care. I'll check over there. Thanks.

What happened to your other videos?

We had to remove the "Rise and Fall of Ancient Israel" series, unfortunately, due to KZbin's request, as they were not happy that an earlier, raw, version of the series was already published on another channel :( We are thinking about how to make the series available via another platform, will keep you all updated.

The subject of Armageddon has been an ongoing "hot" topic for a long time. However, it is only with the revealing or unveiling of the Bible "book" of Revelation has the meaning of Armageddon been clearly understood. And when was Revelation unveiled as to its accurate meaning ? Revelation 1:1 explains that this "book" was ' presented in signs ' or is highly symbolic, so that the "lake of fire" at Revelation 20:10, 14, 15 is NOT a literal "lake of fire" but symbolizes everlasting destruction, also called "the second death". Jesus used the Greek word gehenna that means the same as "the lake of fire", at Matthew 5:22, 29, 30; 10:28; 18:9; 23:15, 33, and is the same meaning as "the everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels" at Matthew 25:41, everlasting destruction. At Revelation 1:3, it says: "Happy is the one who reads aloud and those who hear the words of this prophecy and who observe the things written in it, for the appointed time is near", explaining that understanding Revelation would ONLY be when the events seen in it are about to happen in "the Lord's day".(Rev 1:10) The "Lord's day" is a period of time some 1,100 years long, that began in 1914 C.E. when Jesus was crowned king of God's heavenly Kingdom (Dan 7:13, 14; Rev 6:1, 2), and closes out at the end of Jesus Millennial reign, that is the same as Jesus invisible "presence" (and NOT "coming"), at Matthew 24:3, whereby ONLY God's loyal servants are able to accurately grasping its deep, symbolic meaning and thus are able to "OBSERVE the things written in it, for the appointed time is near." Of Armageddon (meaning "Mountain of Megiddo"), this word draws its name and meaning from the Bible "book" of Judges, chapters 4-8, whereby two notable battles were fought in the area of the city of Megiddo, some 25 miles southwest of the Sea of Galilee, on the south side of the Jezreel Valley that ran from the Mediterranean Sea near Mt Carmel on the west, to southeast down to the Jordan river. There was NO "Mountain of Megiddo", only the city of Megiddo on a mound, but the reference to a "mountain" is in reference to the "government" or sovereignty" that supported Judge Barak with his 10,000 men in his fight against Canannite king Jabin who had oppressed the Israelites for 20 years. It is this occasion that "Jehovah (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV, as well as Ex 6:3, in which Jehovah's sovereignty or rulership is called "the mountain of the house of Jehovah", that is exercised through "the arm of Jehovah", Jesus Christ, see Isa 53:1, 2) threw Sisʹe·ra and all his war chariots and all the army into confusion before the sword of Baʹrak." "Finally Sisʹe·ra (chief of king Jabin's army) got down from his chariot and fled on foot (when Jehovah caused a flash flood in the stream of Kishon, Judges 5:21, so that Sisera's chariot became stuck in the mud). Baʹrak chased after the war chariots and the army as far as Ha·roʹsheth of the nations. So Sisʹe·ra’s whole army fell by the sword; not even ONE remained."(Judges 4:15, 16; Note: Sisera was put to death by Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, who was king Jabin's friend, Judges 4:17, 21) Then, many decades later, the Midianites oppressed the Israelites for seven years, so that Judge Gideon was sent to ' strike them down ' with 300 men (Judges 6:16), and of which the account says that "the three bands (of 100 men each) blew the horns and shattered the large jars." "They held the torches in their left hands and blew the horns in their right hands and they called out: “The sword of Jehovah and of Gidʹe·on !” All the while each man stood in his place all around the camp (not having to fight), and the whole army ran away, shouting as they fled." "The 300 continued to blow the horns, and Jehovah turned the sword of each one against the other throughout the camp (so of the original 135,000 soldiers, 120,000 killed each other, see Judges 8:10); and the army fled (east) as far as Beth-shitʹtah, on to Zerʹe·rah, as far as the outskirts of Aʹbel-me·hoʹlah (that was on the Jordan river) by Tabʹbath."(Judges 7:20-22) Thus, the term Armageddon means that Jehovah God will bring about a decisive victory and fight for HIS people by means of a heavenly government called God's Kingdom, along with the angelic army (see Rev 19:11-21), "crushing" the political nations with their some 8 billion supporters to death, as Daniel 2:44, 45 shows. So, when Armageddon is over (as the 2nd phase of "the great tribulation", Matt 24:21), basically "in the blink of an eye" (Matt 24:29-31), the only human survivors will be those wearing symbolic "white robes" that denotes their righteous, clean standing before Jehovah.(Rev 7:9-17) Armageddon is the same event seen at Ezekiel 38 and 39. There "Israel" is NOT fleshly Israel that has been rejected by Jehovah and replaced with a new "nation" (see Matt 21:43; Rom 9:6-8), being spiritual "Israel" (Gal 4:26-29), God's Kingdom, that is made up of 144,001 members.(Rev 7:4-8, being both Jews and Gentiles, see Rom 11:11, 12, 17) At Romans 10:13, the apostle Paul, quoting Joel 2:32, wrote that "everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved". Note: Armageddon, "the war of the great day of God the Almighty" (Rev 16:14, 16), will NOT be fought in the Jezreel Valley as many of Christendom's religious leaders teach, but is a world situation that places the political nations against God's heavenly Kingdom that is invisible and will destroy Satan's "offspring" (Gen 3:15; 1 John 3:10) on a global scale as did the Deluge in Noah's days.(Gen 7:21-23) Armageddon is prophetically seen at Psalms 2:1-9, Psalms 83:1-8, and Jer 25:29-33, and an example of how Armageddon will destroy Jehovah's enemies is shown at at 2 Chronicles 14:8-13.
