Great to see you out there and I have a suggestion for you to Add some Strong Magnet's to the Pick and then it will help you eliminate the extra digging up those steel targets and help eliminate the extra time looking for the Gold but lead will still need to be dug and then it's closer to Gold's 🪙 real character and I will get back to watching the video now and Good Luck 🎉❤....

Thanks Carol! Ironically, this pick actually does have a strong magnet built into the base of the handle, but I was still too new to using it to remember that it had this feature. 😂 I've had some success since this video, I'll be putting up another vid within the next week. Cheers :)

You've got it Ron. The specialised gold machines do a spectacular job of finding items that a pinpointer struggles to locate. I'm not sure if you've seen my Facebook page (also called DirtFishMish), there's a photo of a gold storage box a few posts down, the tiny bits you see in that were found with this machine. I'll be putting my next video out shortly and you'll see some good examples there too. Cheers!

Love the shirt. wear it every time as a trademark for your channel. Would love a 6000 but is a few years off. 5000 and SDC will do till then. Oh and you should see how much lead shot I have in old vitamin containers, lol.

Thanks so much, the company behind the shirt (TradeMutt) is doing great work for mental health initiatives. I will be wearing it more often for sure. My 6000 is bittersweet, a dear family member left me some funds when they passed and they were a fan of my hobby and channel, I would not otherwise have been in the position to start out with one. I do hope that they would be pleased with my decision. The 5000 and SDC are both great machines in their own right so you're still in good hands. Cheers mate :)

Pulse induction is great for relic detecting, no matter what people say, definitely try it in some good parks you know, youll get some deep old targets! Ive got sovereigns, cannonballs, 1860s military stuff all with my SDC2300 in old parks

The problem about a larger hat is it makes it very difficult to wear headphones (which I prefer/need!) -- though I do see that there's now a few wide-brim varieties that allow for headphone holes. Some more research to do, I think. Cheers John :)

Not being familiar with the geography, wonder if that is snake country? What we see on tv, you tube, etc makes me think Australia is covered in venomous snakes. G’day Jim! Thanks for the question. Pretty much any rural area of Australia could be considered snake country. 😂 I do own a pair of snake gaiters, however I intensely dislike wearing them. I grew up in a region much like this one and saw snakes all the time, most variants of snakes prefer not to engage with us and will leave us alone if given a wide berth or if they feel our stomping through the ground in advance of our arrival. It is however important to always be vigilant, and not intentionally put oneself in harm’s way. Cheers!

Pretty good A, definitely heavier than what I'd usually swing, but a lot of the weight is at the battery compartment at the back of the arm, so it balances the load nicely. I've actually found that I can comfortably swing it for up to 4hrs or so without needing a bungee. Cheers mate :)
