I’m a DF2.1 user. As of this moment I prefer the squared off look of the blade section of the 2.1. Would not complain about the smaller size but am very used to the size of the 2.1. Would be open to getting a blue/green DF3 if I got it on sale.

3 years ago i was custom fit remotely for the 2.1 The lie angle balancing def. works. I just couldn't get used to the HUGE ugly head and wound up selling it on ebay. last week i did the remote fitting for the 3. went counterbalanced, 36 in. with a heavy head. NN head alignment marking and a 3.0 17 in SS grip. should be arriving in 2-3 weeks. Love the technology, Lie angle balancing really eliminates any twisting. My current gamer is a limited edition Jailbird counterbalanced. It's face balanced combined with my slight arcing backstroke just isn't working on my short putts especially inside 6-8 ft. Everything is pulled left.

I had been using the DF 2.1 for the past 4 years and just a week ago got the DF3 and so far like it although I've been struggling with very long putts as it's not as heavy as the DF 2.1. I think this one will be in the bag for a long time though.

Can youpro idemore detail in the different shafts? Is there less feel with a stiffer shaft?
@bryanzgolfpro10 ай бұрын
So they don't really go off of "stiffness" because there's not much flex to the shaft at the speed a putter is going. The feel comes mostly from torque (or lack thereof), weight, materials etc. You don't really see putter companies selling different flex putter shafts. The TPT shaft from lab feels exceptionally different and better than say their stock steel shaft. Different materials and composition in general.

Would you happen to know the front-to-back depth measurement of the DF3? I'm trying to compare the size to my Evnroll Zero.

What’s a heavier head, the DF3 stock or the Mezz Max Stock?

You now have the option when ordering custom to pick standard, heavier or lighter

I’ve been contemplating a Lab Golf broomstick for a year now, but I’m LH and no where local has any to ever try. The new DF3 is even more tempting now. Is upgrading the shaft on a broomstick as equally as important as it is on a standard length putter? My theory and correct me if I’m wrong is the graphite shaft reduces twist or bend when going back/forth, but with a broomstick being so controlled and it being center faced balanced, what the need to spend and extra $300?

Those are great questions. I have the tpt shaft and it is awesome. I feel less twisting for sure, smoother transition and better impact feel. If shafts made no difference, companies would only use one standard shaft. Whether it's worth 300, I can't say. If you can win 300 more on the course by making more putts then YES! There are other upgraded shafts for less money. The hardest part about lab putters is not being able to try what you want. I get it. Hope this helps.

Hi Bryan, saw your video on new L.A.B. golf DF3 putter. I looked at the build model and it showed a counterbalanced one with longer grip. I currently game a 2011 Taylormade Ghost Spider counterbalanced and I am very interested in ordering one. You mentioned in your i introductory video the a person could get a discount off your video. Can you let me know what I need to do. Thanks!

I read somewhere that the paint wears off the aluminum head. Would love to hear people’s experience with that.

I would think you need to keep it covered. I have multiple versions and colors. Always covered, never a problem.

I’ve rolled several putts with the Mezz1 and LOVE it, but for 499 there’s no way I’ll buy one. Not because I can’t afford it, but it’s a principal thing to me. I can buy a Ping putter, hello ping putter, for 299 new! I just can’t justify the extra 200 for a putter! I know the importance, but it’s basically the price of a driver!

If you make a few more putts and bet with your buddies with the putter you really want, The 200 bucks is nothing! 😀😀

@@bryanzgolfpro That’s alright I’ll stick with my 10 year old scotty that I average right around 30 putts a round, right around 35% 1 putts, and right around 25 holes per 3 putt. Not bad for a 9 handicap player. Still not worth the 499+ for a new putter!
