We love our kobelco excavators! This past spring we got a new kobelco 140 with steel wrist, and the idig system. Its is an amazing tool for our company, thats for sure! We've been running kobelco for 10 yrs and have no complaints, we have a awesome dealer as well!

Looking good Mr Dig , yea that's a big lunch for sure , yea those digger are alot better , l worked a Atlas and a Himac around 1980 here in Australia we had no air con they had the old long levers and feet control also when you changed your buckets you had to drive your pins out and in , sure have got alot off creature comforts now, for sure ok look forward too your next clip cheers

As a Kobelco Operator i ve never knew how different the set up of the machine is in other parts of the world. Okay a SK210 is not very popular in our Area most contractors go for the SK230 short radius but there are still some arround. I always thought Colour is the only different thing. I wouldnt have thought that they sell machines without a rotating function, or greasing system, and that they have a lever to change Operation Pattern... In my experience Kobelco is always first for durabilty and fuel consumption, and i also like the feel on the controls.

It'd be nice if it had presets for the operators, like in cars. Hit 1, 2 or 3 and automatically adjusts to what you set it at.

Please write up a spreadsheet on the them showing fuel consumption, the operators 5 favorite things on each machine, and the things they wish were better or improved if possible. Tell AAron to keep a list for you.

Mr. Digg. I was raised up to run cat, but I also like Komatsu or Volvo. I ran a couple of Kabelcos and I liked the way they performed, but I’m just a cat or Komatsu man that’s just my opinion brother

You all are going to do your due diligence. Komatsu were always strong fast and fuel efficient. The Asian machines don’t hold up as long as Cat or Deere but are nowhere the price. Spread them all out on demos and make sure to wear the competitors hats when they show up! Maybe the crew will get some extra gear. Hard work Mr Digg. Garden update please. Thanks

Love my new Cat, but I was sad to see the documentation showed it was actually built in China. Most of the features the salesman was touting are standard on most all new generation machines. Can’t wait to see what the operators have to say!

Dirt Perfect has raved about his CASE Excavator he is demo-ing saying it is such a nice machine. Do they have a Case the size you are looking for? I always had good luck with Case equipment.

A good purchase will be a company that has local service capability, an inventory of parts especially emission related parts, and possibly willingness of having a loaner unit available when it breaks down while under warranty, and it will break down with emissions issues. Horror stories are out there about service and parts availability. A machine that does not run is useless.

I think you should go with Kobelco its a good brand. Not saying volvo is bad either but if you have Kobelco from before and are very pleased with it why not go with another one and deal with the same dealer when ever there might be a issue or get some parts for it. Just call the same guy and get stuff for both machine at the same time.

Yes the guy is a salesman, but he was an operator and ran fleets. He showed that he was an operator as soon as he got into the cab and started to operate the controls. he did it automatically you can't hide that. Good luck with the choice, but the decision will be Aaron Lol.
