Check out another great feature of this TIS MFT 👉kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZCZmIdoeL9kZq8

Also Gary if you didn’t want to use the Tip Commander, the MFT ECO has an ‘Auto Start’ feature which can be turned on or off. This carries out the test automatically a couple of seconds after connection to the live supply. Telling the tester what protection device is in the circuit will allow it to indicate whether the Zs value measured is within the correct pass/fail parameters, however for speed it doesn’t need to be set up if the user doesn’t need the information.

My Kewtech KT63 I can piggyback the blue test lead of the back of the green test lead for two wire testing. But that’s for the high current test for no trip I have to have the leads in the three lead configuration, but I’m sure I can use the two lead configuration for the no trip test as well . Great video Gaz as always 👍

We used to joke that with the old megger MFT’s we had, the Zs 2 wire low current test was simply a random number generator…

Never been a fan of TIS , I’ve had 2 data testers that have both gone faulty - however the M&S treats 👍 bang on

Anyone got any idea how TIS calculate a pfc of 795 A on a loop with an impedance of 0.22 ohms and a voltage of 241V. I told them about this a year ago and they are still ignoring the Actual voltage of 241 but using 230V AND using correction factors of 80% for thermal effects and 95% for Cmin. After a year they STILL haven't corrected the software.!!!!!

I retired from 50 years in the electrical industry and when testing with no neutral that's how we would combined the earth with the neutral on the test leads to get a result !
@Devviiiii Жыл бұрын
We use Fluke ones. They connect to neutral, earth and live and will saturate the RCBO with dc current and then make the measurements.

Don't really see the point in carrying out this live test at some random point in the circuit. Presumably, you've carried out a r1+r2 test at this point and a Ze at source so why not just do the calculation? Can't see how testing at a radom point and not the end of line is giving you any useful information, seems a pointless exercise as you can not confirm continuity of the cpc to all points and therefore the results for all tests are unreliable.

Does it tell you the test current? Also, the subtitles need a better understanding of specific British accents 😂👍🏻 Cheers Gaz.

My megger tries to do it, but i don’t trust it. The PE measurements are not reliable on the megger, i agree with some other commentators who think that the numbers are random
