Great video. It all comes down to philosophy of use. My JL unlimited is a daily driver that can drive 700 miles to a wheeling spot and perform well on moderate trails. That’s completely good enough for me. I watch you guys do the hard stuff and can live vicariously through y’all.

Both are beautiful jeeps and beautiful ladies. Just a heads up! Your soft shackles on your roll bar should be stored inside out of the sun and rain. The sun especially will degrade the fiber of the rope and could fail at the worst time, like when you really need it. Same goes for the winch rope! It should be covered with a winch cover. The Step child winch being out in the west will be more prone to rope damage from the sun without a cover. And of course, keeping the winch rope clean and dry so it lasts. Love your videos and safe wheeling.

I like both Jeeps, but living in Alabama gotta lean toward Luna and the “East coast” build. 😎 I got my first Jeep 40 years ago, a Renegade CJ5 with the AMC 304, lifted it to fit 35’s and have been hooked ever since. Running a 2 door JK now. Great video!

I have a jk 2 door and I’m slowly setting it up as a mid American trail runner. I’m going to keep it close to stock as possible. So it not a mud Jeep or a rock crawler. In time I do want a gladiator for a rock crawler and a Jeep wagon for muddling. I think an off road vehicle should be geared towards the job and environment that it would be working in.

2 door because my friends have their own rigs. I have a hard top for the winter plus soft and bikini tops for the summer, so i can go convertable, windy, or protected in bad weather! My YJ is a purpose built rock lander, though. I can put the tent on the cage in minutes.

Our 2016 2dr Rubicon Hard Rock is a “mall crawler: high curb edition”, according to the sticker on the rear window. Still on the stock 3.6 and 44 axels, running 34’s with a 3 inch lift. We are 6 “badge of honor” trails in (plus countless others) with no problems. Every Jeep is awesome in its own way, just like the owner. God Bless.

We both trailer our rigs. The 2dr is on sticky tires that should not be driven on pavement. And the 4DR is on sticky tires that can be driven on the pavement without too much damage.

Mischief Maker is a east coast Jeep like yours.

While it was built on the east coast and few things have changed now that it’s been on the west for a couple years I would say it resembles more of a west coast rig. Big, capable, stable, and geared low with a v6. Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t mean it doesn’t perform well on the east because it does, but the wheelbase will make it more difficult to maneuver around on tight east coast trails.

Those are both JL’s. You can tell by the hoods you can tell by the grills. Unless you put a JL hood and JL grill on your JK I swear you have a JL. 🤷🏼‍♂️. Wow now that I’ve watched more of the video I see your interior. Yes that’s a JK. I have never seen one with a JL hood and grill. Love both of them. I’ll take both.
