Is this the Jones Lake by Chillwack B.C.? There was a lodge there back in 1970s, the last time that I was there. Beautiful video.

Yes it is. We did see a lodge across the way but couldn't get a closer look. Perhaps that's the one you're mentioning. Hope this video brought back some memories!

Great video. Looked like you guys didn't lower the tire pressure. Low psi will make a big difference in offroading.
@UnwindingRoads4 жыл бұрын
Thanks will! Unfortunately I have 12 inch wide rims! And 12.5 inch wide tires. That's next on the shopping list is to get something I can air down more thatln 20psi. In the meantime I'll pick up another set of chains for the front and put them on as soon as we hit snow lol. Thanks for the advice. What tires do you recommend?
@4xhoser4 жыл бұрын
Deffs get a smaller rim so you can air down! Makes the ride better, protects your rim, increases your footprint and traction. Great vid tho! Local in the area with a tacoma, I have falken wildpeak a/t3ws that I run but next set will be Cooper Stt pros! 100% would recommend both tires! Cheers

Absolutely! Once these restrictions lighten up! Keep in touch. We get out every weekend.

Awesome video man, ditch those tires though. The main focus of the AT2 is long life in warm climates, not Canadian winters. Try out the Falken Wildpeak AT3w, I have them on my vehicles and half of my coworkers run them. Similar long life to the Toyos, but far better deep snow and ice performance. Anyone who buys them has something good to say.

Finally someone that gets it. These tires have done well in the dirt, and Aired down, ok on the rocks, but I could not believe how bad they were in the snow. Unfortunately, we got a set of 20x12 rims and 35x12.5 tires just before we started off-roading lol stupid. Picking up chains for it to get by this season. But I'll definitely be looking at the wild peaks or the duratracs for next season.

I have a 2001 Ford Focus. I'm interested in finding a spot to park and put up my Ham radio antenna. Where I live I get too much Radio Interference. I like to car camp, drink coffee, and play the radio. How doable are these FSR roads? I have Gaia Map App

as long as you stay on the main roads during summer early fall you'll be ok. Definitely don't recommend trying in the winter spring seasons....
