This is a custom algorithm, although the core of it is based on agglomerative clustering.

The tool looks very nice (I bought a license). But I wish the various options were better documented, especially for us novices that aren't familiar with these kinds of algorithms. In this video, you play around with the Strength and Curvature Weight settings, jumping back and forth between them, but you don't say what you're trying to achieve with one setting rather than the other. In fact, you don't say anything 😉, which makes the video real hard to follow as a tutorial video.
