They are hard to find anywhere, but I believe you can still find some on Amazon and of course e-bay used.

One of my older brothers used to collect garbage pale kids cards during the 80's, and I always felt that the gross images were funny 🤣

I have heard of these but not seen any. I don't think adults disliked them due to them being grotesque, looking at these cards parents would dislike them due to what's happening on the cards. For example these are some of decapitated and abused child characters. Parents wouldn't want children to have them because they are not acceptable or controversial in society.

Most of them were pretty gross and I think that’s what led kids to want to collect them. It was “forbidden fruit.”
