Hi is it possible to do an accelerated nursing degree while in third and fourth year since most of the courses are electives. Also do we have to pick research for the optional courses

If you take a minor, you wouldn't have much place left for electives, but you might still be able to take a few BPS courses.

Thanks for the information! Does biomedical sciences cover all of uOttawa's med school prerequisites or will I have to take some separately?

The Biomedical Science program includes all of the prerequisite courses you need to apply to medical school at uOttawa (MD program). This might not be the case for other medical schools, however.

It's normally possible to apply to that program in the winter, yes!

Tuition feeds will depend what program you want to attend. Did you have a specific program in mind?

is it possible to have an option and include a minor? could I do summer courses to achieve this?

You could but it would definitely be more time. The option usually takes the place of the minor so it's not recommended, but if you do 5-6 years instead of the usual 4, you could add a minor and an option.

This is what I’m doing and if you have the money and patience, I highly recommend it. Two years of philosophy and interesting electives turned into a minor, and now I’m pursuin biomed with the cellular medicine option
