UP 636 Florin Flyer Local Stop On Sunrise Station Crossing & Light Rail Arrivals Rancho Cordova CA

The train was sitting close to Sunrise Blvd so when theybstarted moving, all three Sunrise croesings almost activated at the exact same time since it was close so I almkst missed the activation. After making a couple of lunch stops, the Union Pacific Railroad Florin Flyer Local freight train continued and stops on the Sunrise Station Pedestrian railroad crossing on the UP Placerville Branch as they work Wayside Lumber blocking the pedestrian crossing here in Rancho Cordova, California. I was hopping, the train just being 8 cars would clear the crossing but I wasn't thinking at the time about the gondola cars being long until it was to late. Due to how the Sunrise Station and its pedestrian path is configured in close proximity to Wayside Lumber, the Sunrise Pedestrian Crossing gets blocked when freight trains have to work here. A way this could be solved is if the train cars for Wayside Lumber would be on the back of the train coming eastbound to they could pull the whole train past here and all switching would be done on the back side of the train. In the background, you can see the Sunrise Station Entrance crossing malfunctioning activating and timing out multiple times. You canreally see the speed difference in gate motion from when they had the Safetran Mechanisms vs the current WCH mechanisms they have. With the Safetrans during this malfunction the gates would nearly be down before raising. With the WCH Mechanisms, they are able to lower in time befire raising again due to their faster speed. Also, this crossing has a malfunction where if a train is stopped to the east of it about a quarter of a mile from the crossing, it malfunctions with activations over and over again. I'm talking about no movement from the train and it'll keep doing this. This is not a movement caused malfunction. A train was parked one time east of the crossing and it kept activating.
While filming the crossing, I also got views of the freight train uncoupling and switching Wayside Lumber and also Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains on the SACRT Gold Line arriving and departing the Sunrise Station. The station has been updated as the outbound platform was fully converted to a low floor LRV platform. The inbound platform hasn't been converted yet but as of this week this video is published in, the inbound platform being worked on and will be converted this weekend to low floor. Sunrise Station will be the first station on the whole system to be fully converted to low floor as SACRT enters phase 2 as other stations that were converted only did their phase 1 half platform conversion.

That crossing activates WAY too early.

Yeah because the train was close doen the line. Usually this crossing doesn't have an early activation. When the wheels just had started moving, all three Sunrise crossings activated at the same time with Sunrise Blvd the farthest back in the video activated a second befire the other two.
