CURRENT SCHEDULE
Expect a new video every Sunday at 11AM Central!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a KZbin channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Would you ever put a communications tower on your land for extra income ??
@HowFarmsWork
@HowFarmsWork 5 ай бұрын
There’s one farm we own that is on a high spot and would make a great place for one since service is subpar around it. For the minimal space they require, I’d think we would if it were needed there.
@bigredgreg1

@@HowFarmsWork, I don’t know much about tower sites but I understand that different cellular carriers lease space on available towers. If you can team up with industry insiders to build and maintain towers, you might generate income for years to come. Anybody out there who can add to this idea?

Ryan at what point would you say a bull is too big to band? I’ve got a bull that just never got banded. Things happened and it just didn’t get done. I’ve kept him away from the herd but my barn blew down and the way we have it setup he was able to get back with the herd. He hasn’t been able to do anything but it’s time something is done. I would say he’s 900 or so. What would you do in your opinion? Sell him in tact or cut him or what exactly?

I background steers and I would be leery of banding one that big. If it were mine, I would sell him intact, and not take a chance.
