Not only is this one of the “cleanest” tornadoes I’ve ever seen but it also has the most intense curl I think I’ve ever seen. Just wow! Incredible footage

@@Walrus498yeah. Like the Omaha tornado earlier this year. It was recently upgraded to a weak-end of an F4, but that monster had to have been a high-end F4 at least.

I ran into that debris by truck on I80.....road was slick from rain....Minden devastated...we lost one person but none of us will ever be the same....thanks for clip.....helps put what I saw together...thought it was multivittexed

The sirens that day in Minden went off three times before the tornado hit the town I’m a Minden resident that was displaced by the storm losing our house and cars

I've never seen somethin with that big and low of a wall cloud + windfield. Not fluent in meteorological records but it coulda easily been an El Reno contender. Amazing footage

Other than the opening clip yes it is in order as it happened. It was a stovepipe, multi-vortex and a wedge all multiple times.

@Vovo-zx4ql I'm in WA, and we've had some in residential areas. Bunbury has been hit a couple of times, and Serpentine, just south east of Perth. My brother lives there, and when we went to see him afterwards. Massive trees had been ripped up and thrown about. Serpentine is basically a village, but not one home was destroyed. They were unbelievably lucky.

I believe it was at its max width at the beginning of the video where it is crossing the road. Earlier in its life it maintains about 400 yards in width.

Yeah it's not just a rotating column of air, they are a rotating column of air, low pressure, when they collect broken glass, trees, cars, boards, roofs, and thousands of various other debris, they are intense and deadly force of atmosphere. They can't be reasoned with or controlled much like a masked killer. Oh and the sound of all of it is rather unsettling.

Impressive footage. Regardless of the really impressive looking wedge shape, It's not too hard to see that this wasn't the most powerful tornado ever (just comparing with some other videos on YT), which allowed to film so relatively close clearly.

Yes it was only an EF3 though it had a better stronger wedge shape near Minden. Check out my Lincoln tornado video from the same day. I have EF5 Moore video too from 2013

Harlan is my hometown. I am 69 years old, and I don’t remember anything remotely as big as that ever hitting the area before. Kind of ironic that our team name is Cyclones, and there is one painted on the water tower by the high school.

Acknowledging this simple physical truth, does not in any way diminish the suffering and tragedy of those affected by this meteorological phenomena. Mythologizing it into a force of evil, or anything more than the elemental factors that give rise to a tornado, does not help those affected. It does not help anyone.
