U just showed us the audience of MotoGP not only the premiere class but also the junior and intermediate class, what Dorna never have show us before. Thanks alot for sharing the information about this bike; regarding the dash, brake caliper, etc. That Dorna very closed for showing/informing to their audience.

Really appreciate this Xavier! I think you’re right, we’d have more viewers for junior and intermediate class if MotoGP/Dorna would share more about the machines. It’s actually a reason why I bought the Moto3, when I searched online and KZbin to find information, there were only short clips with some exhaust sound, so I decided to get my own to find out!

That was a very good interview/showcase. Short and sweet. Informative but not 40 mins long. Thank you

this was so informational. I have been always inclined towards moto2 more than the gp and this video had answers to so many of my questions.

Thanks so much! I’m excited to share more. Right now I’m focused on finishing the series on my RC8C (end of October) then we are switching gears to spend time with the Moto3.

I find it interesting that the frame was made from one piece of billeted block. Just think of the engineer that designed the frame and of course the CNC programmer. Would love the video of that. Probably never happen because of propriety.

I’ve only seen some snippets from Kalex. Definitely a lovely bit of engineering and manufacturing. The difference between the Kalex and a production bike is striking when you get to see it in person. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
@potatokaiyote2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the insight on the Kalex bikes, I was always curious on how most bikes on the moto2 paddock are kalex and wondered if every team had a different modification but it seams like it really all depends on the rider.
@dougiequick17 ай бұрын
NO I imagine a LOT still depends on tuning of chassis! How many things are adjustable? Rake trail spring rates damping ride height .....gearing? not to mention ergo adjustments
@potatokaiyote7 ай бұрын
@dougiequick1 Boscoscuro now the bike to be on with Joe Roberts being the only Kalex in the top 5 standings.

Like the episode.....but one question, who can buy moto3 or moto2 bikes
@vtranmoto Жыл бұрын
Thank you! There are specialty dealers who negotiate retired bikes from the pro teams at the end of the season. Mostly based in Europe. The one I went through is www.gpmotorbikes.com/ They have a cool inventory, take a look 👍

great video! just to add, modern moto2 does not have auto blippers, good insight tho Edit: Moto2 has quuckshifters in 765 period, but they have a confusing throttle setup. Half the grid use electronic throttle box with traditional throttle cable for better feel
@vtranmoto2 жыл бұрын
thanks so much! the modern 2019+ Triumph Moto2s also don't have an autoblipper?
@ryanlowe28082 жыл бұрын
@@vtranmoto they do lol. Actually I did not know that prior to the Triumph 765 motors, that they used Honda 600RR style inline 4s! Interesting! This is your bike bro? I thought I understood you bought this?
@vtranmoto2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanlowe2808 hey Ryan! I bought the Moto3 (the one right next to it in the video). As the Moto3 was Rossi autographed hahaha. But seeing the Moto2 in the flesh was certainly tempting. 😅
@RapidRossi2 жыл бұрын
@@vtranmoto nope! just quickshifter, most teams still use traditonal cable throttles for a more mechanical feeling
@ryanlowe28082 жыл бұрын
@@vtranmoto man that’s awesome, both bikes! I have a spot in my heart for moto2, and that Kalex chassis and 765 3 cylinder make for an amazing combination. Wish I could ride one! Even though my bike makes more power, it’s not all about the HP lol. How I wish we lived closer!

What happened to all the frames built around the 600s? All cut up and crushed? Or do some get rehomed to track mortals looking for something special?? Be such a shame if they are all destroyed! Like they DO for race cars built for various series....after so many races they get crushed! AGGHHH! criminal!
@dougiequick17 ай бұрын
But can us mere mortals BUY these chassis? And plop our production motors in? I assume even without electronics or motor they will still be pricey as hell! But how cool would it be for a civilian twisties sunday rider to show up on? lol I dont ride at night so could prolly micky mouse a headlight on it just to be somewhat legal And if production engine number matched VIN then likely one could pass LEO scruitiny unless the cop was a prick? Even still the weight would be significantly more with a production motor with starter gear and electrical to support that etc...ultimate little hotrod toy!
