I played back in 2005-2010 and I remember kraken club being THE thing people wanted just because of its sell value. It's amazing that its still that way. (just FYI, I was 75RDM 75RNG 75BST before I quit)

Not even just its sell value -- people wanted the Kraken Club because it's an awesome weapon. The TP build it grants you is insane. DRK especially could absolutely melt faces when they popped their CDs while wielding a KC.

Many years ago, I and two brothers (in college and living in the UAE) went on the BCMN well over 300 times. We got the club once, and we shared the club with each of us getting one week. Upon graduating, they left the game and never returned. I still have it even though the club is selling (multiple times) for 875,000,000 gil.

Definitely keep it. The KC is one of the very, very, *VERY* few Classic Era items in the game that's still useful.

it sure did lol KC was basically useless for a couple of years thou, cuz you could not hit shit with it. But things changed. So the price skyrocketed, wish I would have bought one a couple of years back for like 20-50M lol That's the lowest point I've seen them at personally.

@@jimspencer5746 it's cool in some content to get massive tp and spam ws's. Spammin savage blade on rng with kc offhand is one of em. You need to be hyperbuffed or fight some semi trash thou

I don't play pup at 99 at all atm. But yes there's lots of gearswaping at that level atleast. As for lvl 60 you don't even have to bother, atleast not for this one :) And thanks!

Yeah, PUP has almost always been able to solo this BCNM (I know this because I got my Kclub on try 286). You used to fight Fe'e yourself, with the automaton as a WHM keeping you alive. Later attachments and game adjustments shifted the strategy to automaton soloing. Good luck, sir! I just got mine on Christmas morning, 2020. Stick with it!

It's a 1 in 300 drop chance, so it's not at all surprising that he didn't get it.

@@opo3628 Yep, I've played FFXI for years and know all too well that the drop rate for the K club is really low. Back in the day, I heard it was something crazy like 0.01%, but I think that might've been wrong, and it was actually a little higher than that. Something like 2% I think, but who actually knows for sure other than Square Enix. That's still crazy low, though. 🥺

lol, I started playing FF11 back in 2004, and I've never done that fight, I imagine the drop rate is still .01%.🙄 I knew a guy who had one, and he let me kill a mob with it, I was very surprised that he trusted me with it, lol I'd never do that with anybody in the game. I didn't steal it of course and traded it back to him right away. $400 mil gil for that hummer.😵 Wow, I remember when it was 40 mil long ago but getting that much gil was extremely hard, probably still is, but 400 mil now, lol, ~no thanks~ ~you can have it~. 🤣

Yeah 400 mil is still a lot. It dropped some in price now thou. Maybe 300m ish lol I never ever used one, but one day!

I played in 05, did the bcnm many times but never got one nor got to try one out.. knew a guy who got it from Lord of Onzozo back when the NM dropped it.. Camped by tons of peeps, somehow they got claim AND got dorp!
