Nice one good job on fixing the split charger relay. I wouldn't worry too much about the wire's look it's only you that's sees them long as there safe. 👍

Just a thought, your van is probably fitted with a smart alternator.... this could be what is buggering up the Volt Sensitive Relays 🤔

I bought a very similar relay off Amazon, it lasted a week then just started clicking on then back off. Mine had a voltage display, shown 13.9 volts when on, i use an 800 watt inverter to charge my tools batteries overnight, not sure if thats what killed it? I sent it back, got another, that one didnt last 24 hrs 🤷‍♂️

@ since this vid was published and no, i don’t run anything 240v,,,,, my gear is 12v ,,,,, i use gas for cooking and diesel for heat buddy

@@STTC i use the inverter to charge my Makita batteries in-between jobs, or when im on a job with no power, i have the positive coming off the starter battery, going through the relay, then to the positive on the leisure battery, the the negative from the leisure battery to the chassis, then the little black wire to the chassis. My inverter is wired straight to my leisure battery, positive & negative. It worked great for a week, then started playing up, but i wondered wether the inverter was trying to drag current backwards through it and thats what killed it? But it has a relay that opens the circuit so im not sure if im right? The second one was fitted at night, started the van to try it and it was ok, left my batteries charging over night. Dropped my lad at school in the morning, it was ok, turned the van on and it started doing the same thing 🤷‍♂️. Ive bought another one now, the cut in and cut out voltages can be adjust, fingers crossed it lasts 🤞
